What is to be the Rolling Stones final world tour has landed many a major guest.  Pearl Jam, Metallica, etc.

I have tix to the last U.S. show in Chicago and wanted your opinions.

Axl obviously respects them, do you think he might send them off?

No. I'd say the chances are one in a trillion. Also, there's no reason for him to do it. As long as CD isn't ready, he should just stay home. Nobody gives a fuck about new GNR without CD. If the Stones want him to do it, and he accepts, they better not tell people until every single ticket is sold, because Axl's presence will affect ticket sales.

No. Serious things should start now. Stop opening for X or Y or doing festivals etc... If the new GN'R want to play in front of 50.000 people they have to work hard and do it on their own.? Oasis didn't need anybody to sell out all their stadium shows this summer. They just worked hard for it.
So why GN'R couldn't do it? release the album, make a kick-ass promotion, release a # 1 single, and then it will work.

They should do it.  It would be the perfect time to call out Richard Fortus on stage about his out of control coffee habit.

You aren't trying to say that Guns would outdraw The Stones are you?? Look back at the 2002 shows, they were only able to put asses in the seats for 4 shows, everything else was a disaster. If GnR opened for the Stones at their first show of the Tour at Fenway Park the ratio would probably be in the ballpark of 10:1 Stones:Guns fans. Plus there arent too many younger GnR fans that could afford to buy Stones tickets....face value the tickets go from $63-$453............ Plus I think all of the shows are already sold out, or atleast 90 percent sold. So GnR wouldn't affect sales at this point.

The 2002 American tour was a desaster because:
- there was nothing to promote, no new album (the main reason).
- The promotion of the tour itself was very poor.

I'm standing for a monstruous promotion when CD comes out. if not, the band will die.

i hate to tell you,    but this band has been dead for going on 3 years.   it's over .  i think axl has thrown in the towel.  and i think the reason for no news or info is enbarrassment.   VR has formed, pulled off 2 tours, working on it that is.,had a no.1 album and single,  and are about to put out their second album before gnr.  it is fucking pathetic that they have done all this SINCE the 2002 disaster.  and believe me VR are nothing to GNR.  but just take a look around.............IT IS FUCKING OVER.  IMO we will never see CHINESE DEMOCRACY.  i know its possible but if it did finally drop I WOULD HAVE A FUCKING HEART ATTACK before i ever listened to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND I FUCKING HATE THE WAY I FEEL because i have never loved anything the way i love GNR
                   IT TRULY BREAKS MY HEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO. For me the only real chart is the Top 40.? all those "mainstream rock chart" and "contemporary moderno rock chart" and blablabla don't count. I speack about the real one, led by beyonce, eminem, Usher or Green Day.

I've never sen a VR single in the Official Top 40. I've also never seen VR on MTV. I speack about MTV and not the marginal MTV2. MTV, the real one.

VR are not that successfull, don't exagerate. It's still a small band in term of success. I'm expecting MUCH more from the new GN'R. Do they have ambition? Maybe not as much as the 87-93 erea (it's impossible), but at least as much as Green Day (quite successfull right now).
