GNR songs that Scott could pull off vocally

I was thinking about this a few days ago.
What GNR songs do you think Scott could bring justice to?
He's not going to hit anything out of his range, but I could see him singing Nightrain in the same voice he uses for Mr. Brownstone and the end of It's So Easy without butchering the song.

I think he does a great version of Mr. Brwonstone - he has that low sounding voice that works for the song.

I always wanted to hear him do You Could Be Mine... and dammit I thought it was going to happen when I saw them on that first tour. Matt did the intro and I thought "Too good to be true", and it was.

I'd love to here those guys play Nightrain even if it was instrumental. my favorite GN'R rocker!
but I think Rocket Queen would suit Scott best not necessarily musically but visually. He would own that song!

Scott's got so many voices and really good range but I'm not sure he could pull off the "screech" like Axl does, I think he couldbe fine with any of the catalog that doesn't go in that direction. All the power ballads/epics would be off limits as well. Not that he couldn't sing them, they just wouldn't sound right.
Same with Axl, I'd love to hear him do Sex Type Thing or Dead and Bloated but I shudder to think what might become of Interstate Love Song or Sour Girl...

I think there are tons of songs that he could do. He wouldn't even have to sing them like Axl to make them sound good either. I think it would actually better if he sang it his own way. I think he could really make something happen with Rocket Queen..That is something that I woul dreally like to see. I would also love to see Slash and Duff jam out on that one too.

I gotta jump on the bandwagon here and go with Rocket Queen. I think Scott would kick ass on that song. There are so many GnR tunes Scott could pull off. On the other hand what STP songs would sound good with Duff, Slash etc ? Crackerman rocks , I would like to hear some Shangri LA stuff, especially Hollywood Bitch. I know i am in the minority but i would love to see VR go in the direction of Shangir La. I did enjoy there acoustic take on STP's Interstate Love Song, as well. Duff really shined on that song.

That is an awesome album isnt it. My favorite STP album. Hello It's Late is a great song. STP always has been one of my favorite bands since the release of Tiny Music Shop. Weiland's vocal style is so diverse, so many different styles.?

I love Scott Weiland but there is no way in hell he could sing Rocket Queen
do u realize how high that song is? especially the "I see u standing" sections
He can barely hit the Fall To Pieces high notes live, no way in hell he is hitting RQ live.

What the fuck?!? Why would Scott be singing any more GnR songs anyway? and why would Axl be singing STP songs? Scott's in Velvet Revolver, and Axl is in his version of Guns n Roses.

It's a hypothetical, hence the "do you think" portion of the original question.

I think he could do 'Nightrain', 'Double Talkin Jive' and 'Don't Damn Me' quite comfortably.

I think the best song that could fit Scott's vocals could be any song sang by Izzy. Dust and Bones comes to mind, maybe Double Talking, 14 years...
He will never do those cause they were not hits, but in those shows where Izzy played with VR last year (PAris and Barcelona) they could've pulled that off.

I disagree, Scott can hit many high notes. How about You Got No Right?
Anyway, he doesn't have to sing it like Axl in that nasaly(sp?) screechy voice. He can do it in his own style and I think it would be great..... I would love to see Slash and Duff jam that out again....
