Jungle wasn't an opener until 2002. It was always played in the middle of the show. I think a new song would be a perfect opener. But I agree with you about Paradise City. Its always been the perfect encore.

Some folks crack me up. I hate to tell ya, but WTTJ, Night Train, Paradise City, Sweet Child O' Mine, and You Could be Mine, possibly Patience and November Rain would still be played. In a set-list of 20 songs, that's 25 to 35% of the set-list right there. Plus, if CD has 12-14 tracks as rumored, do you really think they'll play every song off of the new cd? I don't either.

I would hope that they DO play every song off the new CD.... but NOT on the same night.  The same goes for all of the songs from previous albums.  With all of the talent in this band, "Guns N' Roses" should be able to play any song from their catalogue on a given night and create selists that will suprise the audience.  A predictable live show should be beneath GN'R.

Yeah, the 2002 setlist was a joke. Same shit in the same order every night. Thats not how GNR used to be. During the Illusions tour in 1991, it was completely different every night.

Axl will probably sing 1-2 songs and leave the stage.

First off old gnr has opened with WTTJ.  Tongue Second GNR did play the same songs on most nights especially in 92 with maybe a one or two song switch but never in order like 02. I agree with those who think they should keep it completely fresh and should be able to whip out any song from the old catalogue any night. Even TSI songs! The no civil war thing is weak. I like WTTJ as an opener but they could start off with CD somenites, or rite nxt door to hell or perfect crime. PC has to stay the closer. And honestly do some of you guys want 85-95 percent new stuff. I dont i love the classics and id love to hear some more illusions.

I expect them to do almost all of the songs off CD, if not all. ANd then sprinkle some oldies in

I'd prefer to get something completely unexpected every night.? I remember people doing their "wishlists" for the tours and a popular one was "all of CD and Jungle, SCOM, PC, and NR"... I hope they learn the illusion tunes, some covers, and get as random as possible every night!

I agree. With the internet and all of the fan sites, if they dont change it up every now and then , you goto a show and already know for the most part onto what is going to be played and  in order. Two examples of that happened to me this summer with VR and Def Leppard.

The only band it seems that changes things night to night anymore are Pearl Jam. I wish more bands would go about there live shows like Pearl Jam.

i agree completely about the unexpected stuff.. that is why i love to go see shows.

For example, a few months ago i saw the Black Crowes 2 nights in a row and they didn't repeat a single song! now That is bad ass!!!

Do u really fucken believe they would actually only play 95% new material..     Do u even fucken understand what u just said.     THAT would BE 19new songs and 1old song.    BEAVIS

Yes I do understand what I said thankyou, that is why I said it. ok

If Axl wants to set the roots for this particular version of the band he needs to cut himself off from playing so many of the old songs.

And if the new material is as good as we have been led to believe, then he should not have a problem doing that.

Of course, on the other hand... nervous
