Ok, I think I'm starting to go batty here.

After all the rumours (again), I think I'm about ready to jump off of a bridge if this album doesn't come out soon.

I've been listening to Oh My God, Madagascar, I.R.S. (which yours truly decided to defy the Sanctuary Gods and release), Chinese Democracy, Rhiad and the Bedouins, and the Blues, on repeat, for at least the last 3 months...

Like the topic says, WHERE IN THE BLUE BLOODY HELL IS THE ALBUM!?!?!

Axl. Listen to me. Listen very carefully.

It's perfect. There's nothing wrong with it. The rest of the songs could be a complete and utter pile of dog shit, and they'd still be better than anything involving that corporate media whore Slash.

Am I looking forward to VR's new album? Hell no. It'll be the same load of dung as last time. They're corporate call girls, end of story.

Now Axl. Give us the album. Please.

Only thing that keeps me going is the thought of seeing Axl in concert, one....last....time...

(update)

Oh wait. I forgot Silk Worms.

Let's just hope that song doesn't make the album

3 months, huh?  Their's a whole lot of people who've been patiently waiting for years.  It's been 3 for me and for some people 5, 7, hell even 10 from what I've heard.  I'm pretty fed up myself.

No no no. You don't understand.

Those songs have been my playlist, on repeat, for 3 months.

Hell, I've been coming here for 6 years looking for updates.

Ever since Spaghetti was released, I've been saying "Hey. I bet the next one will be better"

Oh no. I saw Axl in '02 in T.O. And anyone who's been to that place that I write at, that I can't mention anywhere but the links section, knows how obsessed I am.

18 years listening to Axl.

3 months of listening to the same 6 songs over and over. (besides Silk Worms)

10 years waiting for the album.

Trust me. If anybody's gonna go off the hilt, it's me.

(update)

Just wondering...HOW IN THE LIVING F*** CAN IT TAKE SOMEONE TWO FRIGGIN' YEARS TO COME UP WITH SOME GOD DAMNED ART WORK!?! It could be a 3 inch cock sliced in quarters by a frickin' butter knife and I don't think any of us would care at this point.

And 3 years? Dude, you haven't even come close to suffering like the rest of us have.

Try hearing about Slash and Duff leaving.

Try going to the 2002 tour only to watch it all go up in smoke.

Try living with people mocking Axl every day to your face, just because they don't get him.

And try dealing with all of those Velvet F'n Revolver fans that sold Axl up the river just because they could jump on that lil media whores bandwagon.

Believe me. I've lived it, been through it, and I'm getting fed up.

I'm sure this will get locked soon (the frustration thread is in the dead horse section). But yeah, the wait is a major pain in the ass. I think Axl's new songs are great and they deserve to be released.

Well, I guess Jarmo didn't lock the thread, which means (for now) it's open for debate.

Therefore, while Jarmo hasn't blocked all my fun, I guess I'll toss out a topic for discussion (which I'm sure has been discussed a million times, but for christ sakes, entertain me, would ya?)

We've all heard the rumours (again), about a possible release (AGAIN!) this year.

All the rumours have been driving me nuts, and I want to know if I'm the only one...

SO!!! (Get ready for the topic)

What do you guys think the chances are of Axl releasing the album this year. Feel free to post reasons as to why (or why not I guess) it'll be released.

If you want to write a full out article, you can e-mail me @ lord_razz@hotmail.com, and I'll give you a forum on my unnamed site.

I'm even gonna change my signature, so that you can't read my site address. (See Jarmo? I'm behaving! I didn't think it was possible either)
Otherwise, feel free to belt out any response as to either why or why not it'll be released this year, or ever

And don't think I don't see all of you users (and guests) viewing this thread.

I know damn well, because you're here, you have an opinion.

THEREFORE....post it here, because...

a) You can beat a dead horse here (frustration about waiting for the album)

b) It's pretty much a free for all in this thread (unless we piss Jarmo off, he'll let us go)

c) You wouldn't be reading this unless you wanted to be heard. So post, bitch, complain, defend, do whatever.

Just don't sit there with your thumbs up your ass, not wanting to type what ya think.

Ok Razz, I'll bite.

Let's not forget Silk Worms. It's part of Axl Rose's new legacy, just like all the other new songs . Am I looking forward to CD? Not in the slightest. Unless the recorded versions of the songs sound vastly different from what I heard live, I won't be purchasing Chinese Democracy. I'm not a fan of what he has turned into.

I've been a Guns fan since 1988, so you're dealing with a fellow old-schooler here. I'm not stuck in the past, and I don't hope and pray for a reunion. The Guns I knew and absolutely loved is long gone and I've come to accept that. I went into this New Guns thing with an open mind, because I loved Axl just as much as any of the other guys and I know Axl is a genius. But this.....this is not something I can sink my teeth into. What I heard live in 2002, before, and since is the true pile of dung in my opinion. To each their own, right? I like VR... not love, but like. That's a hell of a lot more than I can say for The Blues, Oh My God, Madagascar etc. I didn't like a single thing I heard.

HEY!!! somebody remembers the F*CK AXL! T-shirts!!!

Well...

a) thanks for noticing

and...

b) I posted the shirt, I made some sales (3, two of which I own), I was wrong, recanted, and (hopefully) won't feel the need to release again.

Mistress, you make some good points. I'd love to have a G'n'R debate with you. While I think you're completely wrong (with all due respect), I've been DYIN' for a good G'n'R debate.

And Axeman? Dude. That was so August 2004. Get with it man. Between then and now, Slash and Duff have let us down, I've released I.R.S., and I've realised a new found suffering as an Axl fan.

Don't ya just hate when people don't stay current? (Jarmo should be laughing at that one, for obvious reasons)

God DAMNIT! I mentioned Jarmo again in a nice way!

. o O (quick RazZ....think of something negative to say about Jarmo, otherwise your whole cover will be blown!)

Yeah...well.....Jarmo still likes Skid Row!

. o O (Good thinkin', asshole...)

Now Mistress. Time for me to rebutt.

Silkworms is a pile of shit. You can blame Dizzy Reed for that one.

Madagascar is one of the greatest songs of all time. I listen to it every day, and my two year old, who's just learning about music, swears by it as his favorite GnR tune.

Chinese Democracy, the song? Live, it kicked ass. The Rio version was O.K. The Boston demo was KILLER!!

I saw GnR LIVE in '02. and I can honestly say it changed my life.

Did you see them in '02 at all?

I didnt get to see them in 2002. Axl went back into his cave before he made it to my area. You think Madagascar is one of the greatest songs ever?? Man, that's a bold statement. It's not even one of the greatest GNR songs ever, it sure isnt one of the best songs ever. But if it has some special meaning to you, then thats cool. I just cant believe someone holds that song in such high regard.

I've been listening to the remix, that sounds like it could be near-studio quality.

One of my personal fave GnR tunes is Civil War.

This tune is right along those lines, and it's better.

So yes. If and when the album is released, Madagascar will DEFINITELY be seen as one of the best of all time, and not just GnR wise.

I just dont get everyone's fascination with Madagascar. Its ok, but definitely not a 'big gun'. It has a generic feel to it. The studio version might redeem it, but I wouldn't bet any money on it. I wouldn't be surprised if Madagascar isn't on the album. If Axl has 20 'big guns' like everyone says he does, Madagascar does NOT appear on CD. It might be a b-side or soundtrack material. I think the only song almost guaranteed to be on the album is The Blues. As much as I love the song CD, it didn't get a huge buzz from GNR fans, so he might leave it off the album. All I ask for from Axl is no filler on CD. Even if he only has 7 or 8 'Big Guns', I would rather have just that, instead of an album of 7 great songs and 8 songs of filler. I just want his absolute best work. Axl's redemption would be the story of the decade.

Well, I've moved away from the VR stuff now. It's all about the GnR demo's now.

Maybe I'm one of the few that notice it, but for me, Madagascar just has that "feel" to it. There's just something about that song that reminds me of the first time I heard Civil War, or Estranged. I'm hooked.

Great. Now I have to go listen to it again.
