it?s a brazilian rock n roll site... but one of the best here

their source is:
Billboard.com

well, the news is that PRIMUS are in the studio to record a new CD with the first formation
to me that was making me worring about Brain leaving the band.. his friendship with BH don?t worry me at all, he?s not that crazy to leave guns for this

always heard that Brain could leave guns, all that rumors...

and sorry if this was already posted

if the tour was any indication of their sustained chemistry, the new album should be great

I actually tore ligaments off my ankle at Primus show last tour and got surgery.  Needless to say Primus still rocks without Brain.

Anyone read the last Brain interview? I remember a time when Matt Sorum made similar comments about Axl, and not too soon afterwards was 'released' of his duties.

It could be that Brain is covering his ass, recording new material, in case he is no longer employed by GNR.

Just a thought.

Cool. Lookin forward to the Primus album, as much as I like Brain, Primus were excellent before Brain and will most likely be excellent after! Hopefully they do a full tour behind this one, would love to see em.

Brain comments about Axl? Huh

Can you post both the articles? I have no idea what you're talking about.

BH.TK - Speaking of mainstream , Guns N Roses , it was fun while it lasted it seemed.

Do you expect the music he recorded for the album to stay on the album? Most of us worry
that we will never hear what he recorded for the album.

Brain - So do I.

BH.TK - Are you excited to go back on tour with GNR? Will it be different without Bucket?
Brain - Yeah if they give me a bucket of money.

I don't think anyone whose still with the project would leave now, after investing so much time in it and passing up on many other things i'm sure.

rain, good point. BUT, if the band members continue to stay and wait indefinitely, they will keep missing out on other things. If we reach 2006 with no CD, someone is gonna leave. Tommy will have been in the band for like 8 years by then. Thats a LONG time to be in a band that doesn't do anything. Robin has already proven he can bail from the project, and I wouldn't be surprised if he did it again. Hopefully, Axl will just release it so none of this shit I just mentioned will happen.

Whatever, Brain is replaceable.  As was Buckehead, as was Tobias, as will be the next member that leaves.

This album will be Axl's.  I think Axl will find sufficient replacements.

Here's an example. Lets say Tommy quits today. He's been with GNR a LONG time. He has worked on alot of material, and probably wrote some songs. All of his work gets thrown out when he leaves. This is NOT just Axl's album. Sure, he will get all the credit or blame when CD is released, but its not his alone. Take a member out of the band, and you've got some long delays on your hands.

I agree.  I believe that Buckethead's departure was a severe blow.  And after he left I was very concerned that Brain would leave also  nervous
I'm soooo glad that he's ready to return when GN'R gets going ok

Where is matt's one?

That's no way a comment about Axl. He said that as to his working with BH too.
Axl is not "THEY".
It's actually the label or millions of audiences who will hopefully pay that money.

I shouldn't wonder if Axl cuts this kinda joke too now but Matt?

Matt's was mentioned in that book 'The Band that Time Forgot'.

THEY - refers to Axl and his management (I think). Not the general public.

Matt's was mentioned in that book 'The Band that Time Forgot'.

Could you be so kind to quote his exact comment?

THEY - refers to Axl and his management (I think). Not the general public.

So you think Axl n management have paid Brain to tour with BH? Who would think of that? Shocked

Quote
BH.TK - You and Bucket have played countless shows together in so many places around the world; any favourite shows or cities come to mind?

Brain - All the ones were I got paid over 2G.
hihi
I think otherwise. The performance fee comes in from the audience of each place through the promoter.
Then that goes to each performer via the management.

It can't be a comment about Axl unless Brain is a little short on himself and thinks Axl pays him out, out of his own pocket, for the future shows and everything.
Besides, The NY times said the label had paid for their studio works.

More, It's a joke. a tad ironic one. No buts about it.

Interesting point, could easily be it.

Matt's wording was to the effect (not exact quote) of:

'Lead singers are a pain in the ass, too much ego'. I think it was said at the time of Neurotic Outsiders, as to how that project was going so well, as it wasn't focusing on the lead vocals so much.

I agree with the Brain post you made though, initial feeling was that he doesn't really give a f**k about Axl and the band, only in it for the cash, and once that runs out, he'll be gone.

If someone paid me to wait around for something and allowed me to do my own thing in the meantime, provided I got along with everyone, I`d stick around too.

GnRFL If no one paid you to wait around for something and allowed you to do your own thing in the meantime, provided you got along with everyone and you were proud of what you had done with them for that "something", what would you do?
I'd stick around all the same.
The Brain drain won't really happen IMO.

Yeah, I know.  If I hadn't followed his interviews, I might have thought the same.
Mate,
I suggest you should read the Brain interview thread. and objectively.
It's long winded thread as usual and contains some informative posts as well as the ones that Make you Laugh. hihi
