http://www.petitiononline.com/likeadog/petition.htmlThere is a petition calling all Izzy Stradlin fans. If you would like Izzy to release Like A Dog, and would consider buying it then take a second to sign it. Assume the album would be released at normal retail price of any new cd.

If you would like Izzy to release Like A Dog ...
I'm probably the least knowledgeable GNR fan.?I don't know what this "Like A Dog" thing is all about.? ? Could you please give me the background on it?? Is it something new he's working on or something old that he's never released? But whatever it is, if he doesn't want to release it than that's certainly his prerogative.? And I don't think petitions work when you're dealing with someone from Indiana.?

He had a 1000 copies pressed of Like A Dog and was trying to get a deal but that probably didn't work out, so he probably moved on. But the copies are probably on his shelve somewhere and ready to be released... maybe this will stimulate something and he'll try to ge it out there. The author of www.izzy.34sp.com has offered to distribute it on his site.

Izzys old bassist Jimmy Ashhurst has now signed the petition The petition only started 2 days ago and already has 120 signatures Please post the link on other forums if you think they would be interested. Like izzydutch said, if we get the 1000 signatures I am going to pass it along to Izzy. If he still isnt interested then I am going to see if he will let me buy all 1000 copies of him so that I can distribute them through my site (at normal price of a cd instead of the ridiculous prices people had to pay for 'On Down The Road' and 'Ride On'.)

Cause Jimmy also posts on the Izzy board beenafix and has e-mail contact with nyd. Also he's recently done in an interview for the Izzy fans that you can see on the Izzy site. Same with Rick Richards who plays lead and slide guitar on all of Izzy's albums. Everybody is in contact with nyd except for Izzy himself Altough he did have contact with nyd in 2003. Don't underestimate the power of Izzy fans

We already have 600 signatures now! Only 400 more to go so please keep telling people to sign the petition if they like Izzy and wanna hear Like A Dog. This is what we know about Like A Dog so far (officially from Izzy himself):"...I've currently got 1000 copies pressed that I'll cut loose when I get a deal for Japan/Europe". Tracks (click to download 30 second sample): 2. Bomb3. HammerheadProduced By: Izzy Stradlin Recorded At: Dallas, Texas (April/May 2003) Mastered: Friday 2nd May 2003 It is a ten-track album featuring the usual lineup of Izzy, Rick and Taz. Izzy Stradlin will be handling bass on the album, aswell as vocals/guitars, whilst Richards fills lead guitar and Taz takes drums. The 30 second samples were sent directly from Izzy. If you enjoyed the samples please sign. Thanks

Remember that is what he told me in 2003. He cant find distribution in the USA because it normally means having to tour and do interviews which is something Izzy is reluctant to do. He got lucky with 'River' because SFV Records didnt care if he toured or did interviews, they just put the album out with minimal press and Izzy seemed fine with that If he does let me buy all 1000 copies off him I will ship them basically anywhere. Definately throughout Europe and USA though because that is a big fanbase So sign the petition!
