I heard about Nintendogs from the E3 convention in LA, but I don't think you can buy it in the US yet.  Seems pretty cool, I like the fact that other people with Nintendo DS's will automatically have their dog appear on your screen and the two play together... I think?  Is that right?

yes ! didnt try it yet,
but the gameplay seems awesome. you can call your dog. teach him tricks. take him for a walk around the block, and you pull on the leash and all.
wash him.
feed him.

the only thing missing is train him to fight other dogs... but, hey, that's nintendo

another "great" "inovation" by nintendo , they talked about it in the E3 like it was the greatest thing ever , but its nothing new , its nothing great ,the funny thing about nintendo its that they keep saying that they are in the industry to keep innovating  the way people play games and not  the hardware , they havent done that in the last 8 years and they are not doing it with the nintendo DS and they probably wont do it with the Revolution. but well we all know they will sell millions and millions of that boring game.

well, play it, then talk about it.
this game has more interesting gameplay than all the AAA games that have been out in a year (half life 2, god of war, doom 3, gta ...)

another example : kirby on ds. << pure gameplay, pure fun.

I have to admit, I don't get the whole nintendo/playstation/x-box thing in general.  I know people who spend hours and hours playing those things without getting bored.  Whatever, I guess its fun for them.

But a pretend dog?  Sorry, but it seems like sort of a sad and lonely way to spend one's time.  Especially for an adult.
