Paris had a better project, and it's a more beautifull city.

Now whilst we watch the olympics (I dunno who would want to) we can stare at the fat cockney's sitting in the stands touching themselves, drinking warm carling.

I dunno how the fuck London managed it. BRIBED!

Paris v London. I know which one I would choose.

But then, of course, London is much more cultural, and by far a friendlier place to be.

Will we expect the usual racist attacks, and drunken riots then?

What will happen if an english man/woman doesn't win gold? No Swiss referees to bombard with death threats. Just pick on a minority?

Meh.

I love England. And I love London.

And we got it simply because our project was better. And we're far more patriotic, as a country. By a long, long way.

There are cunts in every country. From New Yorks gangsters to the snooty Paris pricks, so what? Accept it.

London ain't great, but I've got British blood.

haha, i'm glad we beat the french again, as we've been doing through our entire history.

should give 2 fingers up to Chirac the bastard, slagging off british cuisine, as if french food is any better, and fuckin slimy thing like frogs n snails they eat, and they eat whole finches in 1 mouthful.

Lets see Chris if it had gone to Paris you would have seen ponsy frenchmen with onions round their necks wearing berets n stripey tops smelling of garlic watching the games or in ireland you would have seen a bunch of freckled ginger piss heads drinkin fuckin guiness humpin leprechauns watchin it.

i think u'll find ireland has a worse tradition on pickin on minorities

as much as i cant stand london, im glad that paris never won...judging by their presentations, looks like paris was concentrating on how great their city was while london was more about success and inspiration...and london got it right

but its funny how people are now looking at it as England and not Britain...events will be taking place all over Britain and I know some Scots politicians were lobbying for London...therefore its a British success

God Save the Queen
God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen;
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us,
God save the Queen.
Oh Lord our God arise,
Scatter our enemies,
And make them fall
Confound their politics
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On Thee our hopes we fix
Oh save us all.

Thy choicest gifts in store
On her be pleased to pour;
Long may she reign;
May she defend our laws
And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice
God save the Queen.

Our loved Dominion bless
With peace and happiness
From shore to shore;
And let our Empire be
United, loyal, free,
True to herself and Thee
For ever more.

1) ok, Chirac is not a good president, but this is not the subject.
2) concerning the food: In France, we just destroy you. When I went to london, I was ill during 1 week because of your food. in trafalguare Square it stinks oil because of all fast foods everywhere. This is a disgrace compared to Paris.

please don't compare Paris, yeah Paris, to London.

i'm extremely annoyed tonight, and also angry against the french because we are too "fair play" too nice, not aggressive enough. just loosers. i don't like when my country and my city loose. we need an aggressive strategy next time. But at least we respect the ethic.

It's politic, that's it. You won because of lobbying, not because of your project.

 how much did blair pay?

Actually, i am french, but since my mother is british and since i was born in 1975 ( before the law declared a child was british only if born on territory), i am british too and have a british passport as well as a french one. Grin

English girls fugly ? well, they have slimmed down over the years, do not have poodle perms anymore and are quite sexy, compared to parisian hotties who never smile ( makes you wonder the state of their teeth to hide them like that )

Congrats to London.   I was just happy New York didnt get it.  As much as I love the US getting the Olympics, it would have been unfair for us to get it.

And, suddenly English girls being unfuckable is the topic of conversation?

Not suprising, given that that is comming from two of the biggest pricks on this board.

It's a stereotype. Get over it.

You were ill for a week? So what. Pay to eat in better places; not the guy selling hot dogs in Hyde park.

This deserves to be moved or locked, but I won't if you any of you actually start discussing real reasons that London did or didn't deserve it.

Under normal circumstances, I'd tell ol' axl_700 to calm down, but he's giving as much as we've got.

So either stop being twats, or this will be locked.
