Glad to see UYI starting to be on these lists. I think they should be rated higher, if not for the music, then for the boldness of releasing two albums on the same day. I know it happens periodically nowadays, but back then it was unheard of.

appetite should've made number one, not metallica, and the illusions should've been ranked higher. but hell, how many bands can flaut a #2 ranking as the greatest metal record ever, PLUS have additional 2 albums on tha list. that's right, nobody but guns n' fucking roses.

is there a point to what you just said? it doesnt change the fact that what you said in your 1st reply was ignorant to the very list in front of your eyes.
and as for guns being ten times "better" then metallica , thats just subjective and nothing more then opinion. Go to a metallica board and the majority will say metallica are ten times better. So theres not much point to these lists when you get down to brass tacks.

Thats just ignorance. Not the name calling but the fact you didnt bother to read the list before making an asinine reply about it. The fact that when called on it brought you down to the level of name calling and flaming says alot about your personality and is an infraction of the rules here.
Hopefully a mod will have a talk with you about it.

If I would pick a 1#best album by Metallica it would be Master of Puppets. The Black album is an Mtv-whore album, it's overplayed too fucking much. Although I do like the songs Struggle within and Holier than Thou . It's a shame James is no longer a master at heavy riffs.

IMHO , the same can be said for UYI. Geez , were those singles ever overplayed?! And then again , WTTJ , SCOM and PC were maybe in a lil bit too heavy rotation themselves.

August, your comments are starting to get out of line. Alot of stuff you say is positive towards CD, and you make a few good points, but there is NO reason to personally insult anybody on this forum. Just because someone corrects one of your statements, it doesn't mean you have to resort to name calling. As my Grandma used to say, "If you cant take the heat, get the hell out of the kitchen!"

I know it's imposible for these mags to put every "rock n' roll" act in their proper genre, but it's always strange to see Pearl Jam come in higher than Pantera & Megadeath on a "metal" list. ?

Please. You remarked , without even reading the list that nobody else could claim having 3 albums on there. I just pointed out the fact that metallica had four on there , one of them being number one.
If thats "starting" something then sir I ask you work on your people skills.
And please , back on topic now please?

Here we go again.
Anything even resembling Rock N' Roll gets labeled as "Metal" once again. Hah.

I don't really read those magazines about their opinion on albums, I always disagree with them . I wouldn't put Nirvana ?on that list.
Although there's metal bands I love but I don't listen to every metal band. That's what I can't stand about some Metalheads unlike me, they say if you don't like a specific metal band, you're not considered a metalhead. I 'm a metalhead too but I expand my taste in music not only like the same thing.
