Slash Totally Overwhelmed To Be At Live 8

When Sir Bob Geldolf decided he wanted a good old-fashioned rock n roll band for Live 8, there was only ever one choice - Velvet Revolver. The supergroup, formed out of the ashes of The Stone Temple Pilots and Guns N Roses, have shifted 3 Million Copies of there debut album, Contraband.

Lead guitarist Slash, 39, can't wait to hit Hyde Park. He says: "i'm toyally overwhelmed. Its going to be amazing". "Bob is such a great guy and i was totally honoured when i got the call from him." "He told me there wasnt a proper out of control rock n roll element to the event - and thats what we're going to bring." "I'm not one of those guys who's ever going to be as outspoken as Bono or Bob, but when you get this many people rallying together, the politicians will have to take notice.

Great to see VR give back. I just hope the money gets to the needy.

DeBeers has a 700K diamond in NYC right now at their flagship store that they paid the natives in the Congo with ca$h. What did the natives do with the money? They hid it in a hole dug underground and then the insects ate it all up.
So we're gonna have to be a bit smarter in how to manage the VR-generated profit$ after Live Aid 2).

i was at live 8!!!!!!!!!!!! they so totally rocked Hyde Park.  slash seemed so happy to be there and duff looked soooooooooo amazing with his Sid Vicious t-shirt on   

the crowd didn't know what hit them though.    it was hilarious.
