Looking at the the best selling artists c/ of http://www.riaa.com/gp/bestsellers/topartists.asp RIAA 's Top 100 best selling artsist it's easy to spot Artists who have left bands in the top 100 and then planted themselves there also (Sting, Lennon, Phil collins etc...Neil young, Ozzy...)

BUT

No where in the hisory of MUSIC have members of two seperate Top 100 Alltime bands (Guns & STP) formed to create another top 100 band.

With 2 million in sales for CB VR need just 8 million more in their career to be the first group ever whose members have been a part of 2 previous top 100 alltime and whose members have 3 bands in the top 100 sellers !!

So..my question.....Can  VR make rock history?  Will they become the 1st band in history whose members have a collective total of Three bands in the Top 100?

can they sell 8 million more records and and cement themselves as the worlds most celebrated group of artists to form a new band?

they can if they can keep it together or if the youngsters get into it big time.. They need one of those albums that every great group has that rides the big wave.. Patience and longevity... I sure hope they have lasting power, but you have a lot of addicts so anything is possible..

It would be great to see them make rock n roll history.   Hopefully this will the be kind of album that keeps selling for year to come so that hopefully they will achieve 8 million more sales.   I have a question - Do all the versions of Contraband count as a sale towards the 8 million or each one have it's own count?

Contraband is good. Not great. It would take alot of work for VR to ever reach the status GnR reached. I personally think that their next album will show us what they are doing and where they are going.

Absolutely, the next album will be even more important than Contraband regarding where the band`s carrer will go. A Sophmore slump would not be good.

One thing to keep in mind, thee guys were getting to know each other and had not really toured when the album was finished. I expect creatively the next one to be much better (in theory anyway)

It can only get better from here.   Just from listening to Come On Come In and I know most people find this song to be the same music as is on CB, which what I would expect from VR's sound now, I feel that their second album will be just as great as CB if not better ok  Ofcourse this my opinion as I really do love CB if I had to ask for one thing I would like to see on the second album that wasn't on the first, it would be Slash adding a little longer solo's  peace

They do rock and with each new live performance I see, I see it more and more.  Seeing them live was one of the greatest rock concerts I have ever been to beer
