This particular chassis (w140) drives wonderful when everything is in working order, but can be one of the most expensive models to maintain. What year is it and I can tell you what issues to be aware of.

Cheers im aware of the expensive maintainance, im a member of the Mercedes Benz Owners club plus im registered to 3-4 Mercedes forums, luckily being in the motor insdusty things can be so much cheaper, at the moment the car has no issues, but if and wen it does help is always at hand. If you are a member of those forums then you should already be well educated on that particular chassis and the issues during that year, they are well documented. If you use those forums and do your own work MBs can be cheap to keep on the road I think. I also think they are much easier to wrench on than other cars that cost much less. However, the new ones SUCK, period.

I have a 2001 dodge ram- id post a pic if I knew how. Dont get a Dodge. They use inferior plastic for their dashboards. My dashboard is caving in and Dodge wont do anything about it.
