Well...anyone else like this guy?
I think that if he had better looks he would had been the king of Rock N' Roll, not Elvis. Unlike Elvis, he only had his talent to rely on, not tons of retarded teenage girls screaming and crying.

Orbison was one of the best singers of his era, unfortunately he died just before he became popular again with his solo "Mystery Girl" album and his work with he Travelling Willburries in the late 80's.
Bruce Springsteen said it best when he was inducted into the RnR Hall of Fame. "When I was growing up I wanted to play guitar like Hendrix, write songs like Dylan, but I most wanted to sing like Roy Orbison."

hey mate, cut with the insults...there are as many male fans of elvis as there are female...and he actually had lots of girls screaming at his concerts in the early years, you should do your research before coming up with insults based on ignorance
Elvis called Roy the greatest singer in the world and he certainly has written some great songs

Of course he only relied on teenage girls in his early years, later he was to bloated ot get a chick to look at him...but nevermind, let's not turn this into an Elvis thread. I only said that Roy Orbison would had been bigger than Elvis if he looked better

thats cool, no need to say much more...i love people who are ignorant...btw elvis was engaged in the year that he died...heres a nice photo from 1977 for you...
ps
the thing is, elvis had a bucketload of charisma, roy orbison had very little stage prescence and didnt really move on stage
