Who?

« on: June 27, 2005, 07:49:48 AM »

This was a bit of a shock to me but he's died after heart surgery.  Now it may not mean much to most but he was a bit a household name here in the UK, the show had been going since 1982 and up until last month he'd never missed one, i discovered this year there was nothing better to do in an afternoon, than sit back smoke a joint and watch countdown, anyway R.I.P.

Yep certainly made sick days off work more manageable when Countdown was on, Daytime TV generally unless you have Sky/Cable, Countdown was always worth a watch, made infenitely better with the help of a large white coner!

RIP Richard, you will be missed.

What?! Richard Whiteley can't die!? Undecided That really sucks? Sad He seemed such a lovable character, with his silly and slightly cheesy humour. I'm really quite saddened by this.

as far back as i can remember i used to come home from school and watch countdown. Richard Whitely was a set part of my day. I'm really sad to see him gone. I hope they don't continue the show without him because he is irreplaceable.
