John "Earthquake" Tenta passes away
June 7, 2006

John "Earthquake" Tenta passed away this morning at the age of 42 after a lengthy battle with bladder cancer. Tenta is survived by his wife and three kids.

With tonights ECW vs WWE think tonight is more of a joke.

I mean I think it is pretty sure to everyone that Rey is going to look weak tonight against RVD and, RVD will probalby win to push his Cena vs RVD main event big.

Cena will either win or not loose cleanly to Sabu as they are pushing this RVD match hardcore.

Dave Heath known as Gangrel has signed a new WWE contract and is expected to be part of the reformed Extreme Championship Wrestling. Gangrel has been backstage at the SmackDown tapings in Bakersfield, CA a few weeks back.

If Cena beats Sabu I will give up on ECW already.  No way in hell should it happen, no way.  I will vomit in disgust.......I just pray that they dont' give him a clean pin, let it end up being a double dq.

Not really bitching, but Big Show was a bad bad choice.? He's like a plague these days.? I'd have rather seen Lashley go to ECW.? But Big Show... no

If vince wants ECW to make it, he needs to hit up the X-Division of TNA.

WOW

Wrestling is starting to peak again.

It has been absolutely amazing.

I have been out of town and havent got to watch wrestling for 2 weeks but I came home last night and I had 2 SD's and 2 raws taped plus the WWE Vs ECW thing tonight

I just finished watchin about 10 hours today of wrestling and I have to somehow raise 40 bucks to buy that fuckin PPV Sunday.

Talk about excitement, that shit tonight was amazing and some of the greatest shit Ive seen in almost 10 years.

Watched the ECW special last night.  It's the first real wrestling I've watched in quite awhile (maybe a year or more).

I was impressed...mostly with the ECW side of things (and I'm sure that's why the show was booked like it was...to put ECW over for their debut next week on Sci Fi).  Good roster, hard work....

I've set ECW up to record starting next week....which will be the first time I've set stuff up to record since just after WWE bought WCW...and the botched invasion angle fizzled.

I noticed a few things after watching last night.

One thing they kept talking about is the new ECW and the changes that will take place. When I see someone like Big Show and Angle i dont think hardcore. I think of angle as a great technixal wrestler. Big Show is definently not old school ECW, but i guess they will have to work around big show. I mean its not like he can be taking falls off ladders or tables as that could kill him.

Anyone hear Kurt Angle rambling on about how if he looses to RVD the WWE title will go to ECW to be their world title?  Now I know the WWE title would never go the route, but also the Smackdown World Championship is on the line and I could see Rey loosing to Sabu or himself joining the ECW ranks,  taking the smackdown title to ECW to be its world title.

Smackdown's roster is looking pretty thin of any serious big names lately,could WWE be thinking about combining them back into one division after UPN combines with WB in the fall?  With Kurt Angle, and Big Show now in ECW and Randy Orton going to Raw, Chris Benoit out for who knows how long, Undertaker looking at part time work now that he is getting old, look at who is left on the roster: Batista (who has got to be going to Raw in the future, hes to big for Smackdown) Lashey, and Mark Henry, those are their big guys,  If Vince thinks that smackdown can run on those big names he is in trouble.

I think a merger, or a redistribution of talent, is inevitable.

I dont' think Smackdown can survive with the current roster as it is.  Maybe (you forgot JBL!!), but I doubt it.

Yeah but those guys would throw down.  The Big Slow can just chop and kick.  He's horrible.  I don't see how he's supposedly over.......his matches are boring and he has no charisma.  He could never hold down a main event for jack.  I don't see him taking too many table dives or risky moves.  Basically they just stuck him there because there's nothing else for him.  I mean he stunk on Smackdown, stunk on Raw and had to be teamed with Kane.
