-Joey Mercury, accordiing to the Wrestling Observer this week, is being sent to drug rehab, and that's why MNM was broken up. As Torch Newsletter reported, Nitro and Melina are slated to move to Raw with Nitro being a singles wrestler.

Aye, you're right in thinking. Your team for each week goes into effect at midnight on Monday; you can choose your teams weeks ahead, though I have no idea why you would want to...... They count for the Raw and the Smackdown, as well as any PPV, for that week.

On Friday Night SmackDown, JBL told Theodore Long that he would quit SmackDown if he didn't defeat Rey Mysterio in a Judgment Day rematch. Mysterio won the rematch, and JBL is now gone as a result.

Bill Goldberg To Fight UFC Star Tank Abbott In MMA?


X-2 Sports Extreme Wars, which is running an MMA show in Oakland on June 3, has been in negotiations with pro wrestling superstar and former NFL football player Bill Goldberg to make his mixed-martial arts debut. But not just against anybody, against fellow former WCW wrestler and original UFC bad boy David "Tank" Abbott.

Goldberg, age 39 has always been a fan of the sport of MMA and has talked about doing a pro fight quite often when the subject is brought up.

Right now the negotiations are just considered preliminary talk and the chances of the fight actually coming off are not very good. However, the talks continue and anything is possible.

Meanwhile, Tank Abbott is confirmed to battle boxing's "king of the four rounders" Eric "Butterbean" Esch in a mixed-martial arts match in August. He's also scheduled for a card in England on July 1 against Amokrane Sabet. So "Tank" is staying busy in the pro fight game once again. His last bout was a submission loss in his PRIDE Fighting Championship debut against former Olympic gold medalist in Judo Hidehiko Yoshida.


I wonder how old Bill would do in MMA.
