Dave Scherer reports that Jim Cornette has agreed to terms with TNA Wrestling and is set to become the new "authority figure".

Cornette has always been able to cut great promos and can sell storylines. This is a great asset to TNA.

Cornette was last seen writing OVW TV but was released after a student from OVW claimed Cornette verbally and physically abused him

I like that stripped down feel sometimes.  Its somewhat reminiscent of the old ECW days.  Sometimes less is more.  The focus is more on the wrestlers and the actual in ring work, rather than some huge extravagant show.  For me, in the end it all comes down to the wrestling.

Lockdown had some solid encounters but it had some total stinkers, hit and miss, if i thought their ppvs were the best thing going i would be real worried.......

I don't think they look amateur at all. The laser shows and arena layout look up-to-date and modern, plus as Rob says it's about the action!

Dave Meltzer reports that Mark Henry's WWE contract has been extended. Henry signed a 10 year contract with the WWE back in 1996 after he competed in the Olympics for $1 million dollars a year. Henry's new deal is not guarenteed and lasts through 2007. His money has been cut down from $1 million a year dollars to $300,000 a year.


Can't believe he's beaten the last 2 World Heavyweight Champions in non-title action.

I agree TNA PPVS are rockin right now, WWE has gotten to stale..wrestlemainia was cool but backlash was horrible in my opinion, even RVD's match wasn't that good and he usually brings it..its starting to get disappointing. I want some new people going for the title on raw..Triple H is cool but he needs to take a year off, Cena sux, Edge is not nearly as good as he use to be, Michael's ring work is getting to old and repetitive...We needs some changes in WWE...I mean come one Kane sux, Big Show is getting old to watch...they need revamp that roster on raw and bring something new...I still somewhat enjoy watching it..I want Something new to happen, i mean no way in hell 6 years ago Carlito would be even on raw?

those jeff jarret/steiner/Sting promos have been priceless.

Jarrett bores me now, i've watched TNA for a number of years and there is just too much of him.

So far Steiner has been booked well, less in the ring, more out of it, his promo's have been impressive.

The Sting novelty has worn off for me, i now remember that his promo's have always been a bit dull, kinda like him and he's always come across as gullable, solid worker, nothing special these days though....

.....I like Tenay, he's not the best but i respect him.  I truly feel he cares about the business and i love his great knowledge, it's good to hear him reference greats of the past, not to plug them like WWE does (only referencing HoFmers or people in favour with the company...) but referencing them like a die hard fan would doing commentary, he just seems to care so much, top dude.

Tenay does suck though, i actually turned off Impact! the other week after 5 minutes just because he kept screaming Sting will be here.....God the guys stinks....and just cos he has no prior experience i'm not gonna ignore the fact that the guy stinks....

Smackdown is all good with me....

Booker T & JBL are hilarious....

They actually have a tag division of sorts......

They have fantastic wrestling matches each week...Finlay vs Benoit anyone?

It's suffered a bit with the loss of Batista & Ken Kennedy....

And has that Great Khali pratt but it can't all be good.....

I would say the ECW thing IS the draft.

A lot of people are gonna be moved to this thing.

Which is good as it helps the roster 'breathe' again and gives Parisi & Cade a product they can reign supreme in.....Yeah Baby!
