It'll make up for the lack of ECW talent on the show........

....and giving him the belt would be worth it even if just for a 1 month, the pop would be tremendous.

Imagine if HHH was the champ in June. The win would be even more sweeter.

Can't see that happening, what I'd like to see him is go over Kurt Angle, plus angle has a very small history with ECW plus was an antagonist at last years ONS.
Also bear in mind that RVD NEVER won the ECW World Title, thus making his victory for the World Heavyweight Title on an ECW show a bit like fate. Joey Styles will lose his voice.

Would be amazing if he won the strap, he deserves it, he should get a 3/4 month run with it

Rob Van Dam cannot cut strong enough promo's to warrant a long title reign Wink

...And he's also too clumsy in the ring and has a habit of injuring his opponents...

Like i said he's too much of a clumsy wrestler too....

...he's too much of a liability when it comes to injuring his opponents to be given the responsbility of being the top guy.

Because nobody cares if he injures Snitsky, Murdoch or Palumbo.

Seriously though, risking main event talent is the worst thing to do, but more so sacking him would be dumb due to his popularity.  But because of his clumsiness he makes slip ups and mistakes in matches not expected of the top guy in the company.

Being Champions means a hell of a lot.

They are the center piece of the company, they should be the most popular (If a face, which he is...).  Now being clumsy as he is and poor at cutting promo's people obviously don't think he has what it takes to lead the company.  Chris Benoit is great but he was not a ratings puller as champion, Edge was.  Now it's obvious who the better wrestler is but it's about cutting promo's to they are essential in today's business.

If you're company leader can't use a mike well and has a habit of injuring opponents and is generally clumsy what does that say about your company....

...i originally said give him the title, and i stick by that, but i said for a month, for the pop and all.

Now if he is a success then along the way they should reconsider things, just like they should of reconsidered with Edge.

Edge was the reason RAW ratings went up big style.  When he hads the title they were up higher than they had been for years, when he lost the title they were back down.

I'm just against your idea of let's give it to him for 3-4 months straight off.

Now if they had listened to the fans the Edge-Cena feud could of continued and HHH could of put over Rob Van Dam.  We could of also had Randy Orton vs. Hulk Hogan and if Foley had still wanted a match they could of had him do his Mankind thing against 'Taker instead of that muppet Mark Henry, but hell what do i know?
