So..any news on Brocks return, cant be arsed to find it myself.
Nothing's really been said since WWE.com reported his meeting saying no contract was actually signed at the time. Seems though something will get sorted out soon, one of the reasons for all releases was his iminent return. It annoys me though, he should come back on the cheap, after all he said about the business he should be working for peanuts. It would not surprise me if at
The Great American Bash
on sunday,
Batista
defeats
JBL
and then
Brock Lesnar
takes him out after the match setting up a feud between the two of them.

Can anyone here, any of you experts like Stoned or someone, tell me what the fe(k they think they're doing with RAW? Can anyone who saw this week's lumberjack match please explain to me how the hell John Cenile is a champion? That is a disgrace to wrestling, he beat Snitsky and all the lumberjacks and the best move he did was a suplex, a measly suplex. The FU doesn't count as it's just a glorified fireman's carry. I don't think Jericho was dismantling the arena cos Cenile won, he was probably frustrated lke the rest of us that there were talented wrestlers like him ringside while two pieces of shit were in the ring slugging at each other, and not even doing that very well.
As for the rest of the show, hats of to Shelton as he was the only person who tried to do anything. Kurt as always was value for money, the Kane v Edge cage match could've been worse. Those are the plus points, the rest was just one long montage of shit 'matches' and interviews. Carlito - almost as bad as Cena. Chris Masters - a gimmick and nothing more. The Diva search, does anyone really give afuck, it shows how far WWE has distanced itself from actual wrestling that they have to make an event of finding another piece of meat for fans to look at. In the old days people like Trish would just appear.
The whole Hogan thing has gone too far, and not for the first time. The man should be content with what he's achieved and WWE should know better than to resurrect him for the thousandth time.
Add that to the increasing frustration I hear when JR has nothing to comment on other than dodgy gimicks, Cena's 'greatness' and the occasional suplex or irish whip. And the news that Hebner is gone and you have a company that's gone tits up. Come on TNA, give the WWE the kick up the ass it desperately needs.

The crowd love him, as simple as that. Despite being poor in the ring he hets pushed to the moon.
I saw a video on WWE of the bWo challenging the Mexicools to a match at GAB. So that'll be added to the card

Can anyone here, any of you experts like Stoned or someone, tell me what the fe(k they think they're doing with RAW?? Can anyone who saw this week's lumberjack match please explain to me how the hell John Cenile is a champion?? That is a disgrace to wrestling, he beat Snitsky and all the lumberjacks and the best move he did was a suplex, a measly suplex.? The FU doesn't count as it's just a glorified fireman's carry.? I don't think Jericho was dismantling the arena cos Cenile won, he was probably frustrated lke the rest of us that there were talented wrestlers like him ringside while two pieces of shit were in the ring slugging at each other, and not even doing that very well.
Like
Evolution
said the fans love him.?
WWE
sometimes gets knocked for not listening to it's fans but ultimately in general it does.?
Batista
got the title not because he is good but amazingly his popularity rose dramtically overnight while the supposed future's (
Orton
) dwindled.?
Cena
is the most over/popular person in the company right now and as long as he is he will remain on top.? He has the mic skills and popularity which
Vince
likes, wrestling comes second...as always these days why do you think he had such a shit opponent, who happens to have an 'ok' gimmick which
Vince
likes, in-ring skills tend to be irrelevant these days...actually looking back they often have.?
Hulk Hogan
like it or not
IS
the most successful WWE champion of all time although he possess less in-ring skills than
John Cena
, and it's nothing to do with his age, he's always been poor in thr ring.? What about the monster heel
Yokozuna
who held the title from June/July 1993 - March/April 1994, or
Diesel
(
Kevin Nash
) who held the title for nearly a year.? Good champions like
Shawn Michaels
,
Bret Hart
&
Randy Savage
are few and far between.?
Randy Orton
&
Christian
are the only ones who show the potential to achieve their same kind of greatness in and out of the ring in the future.? We have
Kurt Angle
&
Chris Benoit
now but age is not on their side.? Popularity will always determine who is on top...generally, there are obvious exceptions such as
Hulk Hogan
outstaying his welcome years ago,
HHH
now...because of his position of power not letting go of his top spot.
? Now even though popularity does generally determine the top spot the better stars often have a struggle getting their.?
Chris Benoit
's rise to the top took way to long he was years over due having the gold when they finally gave it to him and it seemed more of a thanks well done for your hard service here's your 'reward'...cheerish it though it won't last long...why didn't it because he's not
BIG
and possess few mic skills.?
Eddie Guerrero
's push to the title was because of how amazingly over his lying cheating and stealing gimmick got, it became so popular they had to turn him face, still they were unsure because he's only
5'8
they gave him the chance and he blew it he could not handle the pressure and he cracked, he tried so hard he even bladed himself to deeply and passed out after a match...too much of a risk.?
Christian
is the next in a long line of not that big but massively over guys who may be getting that push to the top but can he stay there? I hope so but alot of that is down to the script-writers, if they write the wrong stuff for him his popularity could dwindle and that could be it.? Big guys have priority it's well known that when business is down lots of them are signed and pushed because
Vince
seems to think that will solve the problems.
? Another problem is we are in a minority, to an extent at least.? I talk to younger people who are fans and all they want to see are the 'cool' guys or weapons they don't care for the wrestling, fact is they ignore us on the internet and generally go with the live response....hence
Matt Hardy
's return.? It's a joke really since nobody cared that much about him to cheer him in the first place as a single's star to get him over enough for a proper push and but for this affair very few would of given a crap about his release, fans often like to jump on the bandwagon, many like robots they just follow anything.?
ECW
, the supposed great company was not that great if it had of been it would never of gone under, if all these fans cheering it's name at shows now had tuned in when it was still going it would not of gone under.
? As for the
Diva Search
,
Vince
seems to think because sex sells then it will work selling it in a wrestling company, hot women mean money right?? What he doesn't realise is we tune in for wrestling if i want to see fit women i'll go search for porn on the net or watch it on tv and at least with that you get to see something and more specifically women doing porn are good at it, fit women wrestling are shit at it...but oh well.? We also have to take into account that he is a pervert plain and simple.? He always put himself in storylines with everyone from
Trish Stratus
(barking around on all fours), to
Sable
&
Dawn Marie
and well all of them.
? Thing is people call him an evil genius...well he's not.? He's evil or at least a bastard that's true, definately ruthless.? He started by taking out all the other small time companies, because he had more money and bought up the territories, not because he had a better wrestling brain.? Then over the years, with the help of numerous paid for writers the company has become a success.? Not from that much originality though.? They have ripped of idea's tweaked them and with money and luck made them better.?
ECW
was hardcore way before a wrestler went through a table in
WWE
,
WCW
had the
Horsemen
&
nWo
long before
D-X
&
The Corporation
.?
Demolition
were a
Legion of Doom
rip-off, who lasted for years until he finally managed to sign them then he ditched
Demolition
when he got the 'real dea'. Then you have to look at all the awful gimmicks we've had, for every good one i can name you five bad ones, it's a case of if you throw enough shit somes bound to stick.? He's already proved business wise he sucks in most areas his bodybuilding company, the
XFL
all went under before they even really got out of the blocks.? Problem now is he's blown it.? In recent years he's employed writers with no knowledge of wrestling and he's also run of of ideas.? By taking over nearly everyone and putting them under he's got nobody to really copy or duplicate he is in many ways clueless.? He is also easily mainpulated by so many stars who are doing to
WWE
what they did to
WCW
not giving the talented guys a chance.? Why did
Rob Van Dam
never win the title?? Because
HHH
did not think he was main-event material, simple as that.?
TNA
has just signed with
Spike TV
and it has a chance, a small one but i still have my fingers crossed for the company.? One of the things holding it back is financial problems and
Jeff Jarrett
's
HHH
-like ego.? Thankfully he seems to be the only main problem and the company has the brains to realise people want to see amazing cruiserweights in action and in doing so treat the
X Division
with the respect it deserves.? Simple booking idea that
Vince
would never think of that would make this weekend's PPV 2wice as good....
Juventud Guerrera
vs.
Paul London
in a
Ladder Match
for the cruiserweight title...now that would be awesome but he's to stupid to think of that, has the division in
WWE
ever had a
Ladder
or
Tables
match...no...why 'cos he doesn't value them or see them as high ratings that's why when he recently signed some new cruiserweights to bulk out the division he also sacked plenty to make it empty again.
? Business is not that great because
Vince
isn't that great and after all these years it's starting to catch up on him.

Former WWE announcer and long time on-air talent for the company during the Hulkamania era "Lord" Alfred Hayes passed away this past Wednesday at age 77.
Hayes was also a pro wrestler himself, gaining a lot of attention in the 60s and 70s as a top heel. He began working for WWE in 1982 under Vince McMahon Jr. as his single British voice of the company.
For the last number of years, Hayes had been living on his own in Dallas, Texas. Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Alfred Hayes.
He was pretty cool part of the old school line-up and all, shame he's gone, R.I.P.

WWE.com addressed the reports of UPN nixing the Hassan character in an update this evening:
"Due to the unfortunate terrorist attacks in London on Thursday, July 7, which coincided with our pre-produced WWE SmackDown! program, UPN has asked us to be sensitive to the usage of the Arab-American character, Muhammad Hassan. We have agreed with UPN, and have not had the character on SmackDown! since that date. It is uncertain as to whether or not the WWE will continue with this character beyond this Sunday's Pay-Per-View, The Great American Bash."
Although this sucks for
WWE
it is perfect timing,
Undertaker
from a storyline point-of-view is the only guy who could really 'kill-off' this character and that's the latest rumour going round as to what will happen this sunday, if so i hope the guys gets a new gimmick, he is a talent in the ring and on the mic.

Yeah, Stoned, you pretty much hit the nail right on the head. I think that most of the intelligent wrestling fans who know a thing or two about the business see Cena for what he is. That is an untalented wrestler who was given the title because of his extreme popularity despite the fact that there are so many other superstars who deserve it far more than he ever will. The thing about RVD never getting a title shot, I heard it was because he botched that spot on Triple H in the Elimination Chamber match. He was supposed to do a 5-Star onto H, but he botched and wound up injuring Triple H. I've heard more than once that that is why RVD never got his shot.

Yeah i've heard that aswell and that's kind of a sub-section of what i was saying. That is one of the reasons he's viewed as not having what it takes - his stiffness/clumsiness in the ring, along with his poor mic skills and the view that he's not good enough to carry the company.
At the end of the day things will never change. Politics will always dominate the locker room, big guys will get pushed and attractive no talent women will be employed, it's the same in many companys, it doesn't always start out that way but it's generally the way it goes.
TNA
will be dominated by political struggles in the back in the long room, egotistical bastards will throw their weight around and often get what they want because of who they are.
WWE
can ride the wave through poor times and bad decisions,
TNA
does not have the financial stability and as good as it is unless a miracle happens e.g. someone with a brain and a big checkbook it will die maybe in 2 years maybe in 5 but it will happen which is a shame because it has so much potential. It's times like these i wish i was a millionaire and could start up my own company, well i can but dream, i'll just stick to playing
Extreme Warfare
(a wondeful wrestling/managing/booking game - There's a thread on it around here somewhere, it's free to download as well
)

I really would like to have a shot at this Extreme Warfare game but the link Chris Misfit posted doesn't work anymore. Any others ideas where to get it? Ill try Google 1st
Im on my summer hols right now and as such my sleeping pattern is fucked up so to combat ive stayed up all night and watched old 1999 Raw Is War videos and fucking hell. The storylines really did rule back then. *gets misty eyed*
Its a little early but here are my GAB Predictions
World Championship
Batista vs. John Bradshaw Layfield
WWE Tag Team Championship
MNM vs. Road Warrior Animal & Heidenreich
U.S. Championship
Orlando Jordan vs. Chris Benoit
Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio.
If Eddie wins, he will tell Rey's "secret". If he loses, he will never reveal it.
Number One Contender Match
The Undertaker vs. Muhammad Hassan
Bra & Panties Match
Special Referee: Candice Michelle
Melina vs. Torrie Wilson
Booker T vs. Christian
The Mexicools vs. The BWO
i say
Batista
The Undertaker
Torrie Wilson
MNM
The Mexicools
Rey Mysterio
Chris Benoit
Christian

Up until a week ago i had version 3, managed to get version 4 off a german site, much better now you can import your own pics for the wrestlers, and wrestlers also have noticeable dislikes for others and voice them e.g.
Shawn Michaels
was pissed at me when i signed
Bret Hart
. Can't find the link anywhere dude, it's only a small file if you want i'll e-mail it to you with all the pics i have for the wrestlers to. I'll make my predictions after watching
Smackdown
. I've been watching old stuff recently like all these tagged classics they have released i've been reliving the good and the bad from 1993-1994 also got the
Road Warriors DVD
, great stuff, very interesting, only problem is the matches on it really do prove they were never that good in the ring, some decent novalty stuff to watch like a scaffold match where
Jim Cornette
broke his ankles (somebody forgot to catch him
)

I disagree, i know you didnt enjoy the ECW PPV they did but one of many fantastic points was RVD's shoot promo.
The reason he is shit on the mic is because his vocabulary has been limited to "cool", "dude" and "whatever".
Yes, in ring, he can be quite sloppy at times but at others he can be breathtaking.
I dont think he can carry the company either, then again i never thought Deacon Batista - (the guy who used to carry around Reverend D-Von's collection box) could.
With all that being said, i so totally agree with your points about Christian, i have been a fan of his for 5-6 years and that has never dwindled, and now he is finally getting popular.
I do worry about the move to Smackdown though...i hope it doesnt hamper him too much.

The Deacon
ain't good enough to carry them company, A) He's temporary and B)
John Cena
's doing more of the carrying

In a situation similar to that of the Dudleys, WWE has opted not to renew Ivory's contract. The company released a statement on its website Friday afternoon:
"Ivory's World Wrestling Entertainment television contract will not be renewed. She will make her final appearance on The WWE Experience this weekend. WWE wishes Ivory well and hopes to work with her again in the near future," said WWE.com.
After the massive roster cuts two weeks ago, there had been a rumor that WWE had considered releasing an additional four specific workers. It is not known if Ivory was included on that list of four.
No great loss, she hasn't been used in a worthwhile capacity in years.

TNA has been plagued by backstage politics for a while now. Ever wonder why Jeff Jarrett held the title for so long? His dad has been booking for them for at least a couple years now. The Bash has the potential to be the best Smackdown PPV in a while, of course that doesn't mean it won't still suck. It can't any worse than last year's Bash...in my opinion the worst WWE PPV of all time. My picks for Sunday are...
Batista over JBL (A bit too predictable for my tastes.)
MNM over Animal & Heidenreich (I expect Heidenreich to turn on Animal, then feud with him.)
Benoit over Jordan (or else I'm never watching wrestling EVER AGAIN!)
Rey over Eddie (Eddie still reveals the secret.)
Undertaker over Hassan (Obviously since they're getting rid of Hassan.)
Melina & Torrie (Does it really matter who wins?)
Christian over Booker (Christian gains some momentum towards an eventual title shot.)
Mexicools over BWO (This one could steal the show.)

You're never gonna watch wrestling ever again then after this sunday......Bank On It!
Jeff Jarrett
politics have been a bitch but things aren't as bad as in
WWE
he's the only main hassle most others don't stay around for long enough to be a problem e.g.
Kevin Nash
,
Scott Hall

The Great American Bash Review
WWE Tag Team Championship
MNM
vs.
Road Warrior Animal
&
Heidenreich
- This match was short and poor as i expected and the result had me fuming, the only decent tag team on this show and they drop the belts to a make-shift team comprised of a has-been and a never-will-be.
Booker T
vs.
Christian
- These 2 should of got some more time but they still managed to put on a damn good match, both guys showed they had it in the ring and i loved the fact the crowd were behind
Christian
i was annoyed he lost though...is his push over already? ?A second
PPV
defeat in a row...wtf?
U.S. Championship
Orlando Jordan
vs.
Chris Benoit
- ?
I said bank on it, i knew he'd win. ?This match wasn't too bad, some decent wrestling thanks to
Benoit
, nothing amazing just ok.
Number One Contender Match
The Undertaker
vs.
Muhammad Hassan
- This was actually my match of the night, i thought it worked really well, it kept a good pace and
Hassan
made
'Taker
look damn good. ?After the match though things got even better, when
Davairi
went through the front of the announce table i was impressed that looked and sounded trully painful. ?The
Last Ride
was even better though, the speed he plumeted at and the fact that they took a shot with camera's quite soon after of
Hassan
to make it look like he had actually landed on concrete...great stuff...i think i might actually miss the guy now.
The Mexicools
vs.
The bWo
- Alas, so much potential here and the booking team blew it. ?
bWo
's entrance was quite amusing but as for the match, they were not given enough time the match had just got going when before you knew it it was over. ?If only they had not had that damn
Bra & Panties
match, they could of allocated this match the time it deserved.
Eddie Guerrero
vs.
Rey Mysterio
- These 2 had one of the best matches of the night and at the same time dissapointed me. ?It was a good match and i liked the finish but these 2 are capable of so much more, with guys like these involved i should be saying it was a great match or a classic not 'good'. ?Seems the feud will continue though maybe at
Summerslam
they will finally put on a match that showcases how great they really are.
Bra & Panties Match
Special Referee
:
Candice Michelle
Melina
vs.
Torrie Wilson
- Errr, who cares?
World Championship
Batista
vs.
John Bradshaw Layfield
- As i expected this match was a dud, totally boring and even worse a cheap finish but i believe that was a last minute change because of
Hassan
's departure since he was meant to be next in line for a title shot.
Overall a hit and miss event, there was some fine wrestling on show but unfortunately i feel the event was let down by a few crap matches and some awful booking decisions.
