SUMMERSLAM REVIEW

summerslam was ok last night it was filled with some total fuck ups etc. triple h remained the champ which i know will disgust wrestling fans all over the world however i like the fact he won cause now they can build a good hhh vs goldberg feud plus it showed that goldberg is a team player and has no problem jobbing contrary to popular belief.

dudleys vs la resistance    la resistance won, nice opening match nothing spectacular something to build on

undertaker vs a train  undertaker won of course, i dont like a train this match was obvious especially since undertaker defeated both atrain and big show at the same time at wm 19.

eric bischoff vs shane mcmahon, funnier than fuck is all i gotta say, bischoff was talking about supposedly fucking linda mcmahon and was talking bout her energy and he sees where shane gets his energy, it was funny and kept me laughing for awhile when i thought about it. cool when austin came out and had to be provoked so shane pushed coach into austin so it counted as being provoked, then he took bischoff's hand and smacked austin with it to technically provoke a stunner, good stuff. shane o mac won.

eddie guerrero vs chris benoit, vs rhyno vs tajiri, what u would expect from high caliber talent like eddie and benoit, eddie got the win and kept the title, nothing stood out here

brock lesnar vs kurt angle, classic match up here, kurt angle kicked out of mulitple f 5's but lesnar somehow couldnt get out of the ankle lock, didnt make sense to that degree, angle won via tap out with the ankle lock. weird ending, i expected something a little different  they blew a f5 reversal spot where angle was suppose to ddt lesnar out of the f5 so they did a couple moves and re did it.

rvd vs kane, this match felt off, the timing and execution seemed somewhat off and the crowd wasnt much into it till the end, kane went to jump off the top rope and fucking fell off the top rope, it was hilarious. kane won

elimination chamber   triple h vs goldberg vs hbk vs nash, vs jericho vs orton

match wasnt what i expected, nothing compared to the first chamber match, this chamber sucked compared to the first one, the match went way to fast with goldberg eliminating orton, hbk, and jericho, i expected a long ass match with each wrestler being brutalized and wrestling alot, this didnt happen, triple h was a puss and hid in his chamber the whole match not coming out of it until the very end, where goldberg whipped his ass but hhh got the win when he hit goldberg with the sledge hammer while goldberg went for the spear, the handcuffed goldberg to the chamber and beat his ass

funny stuff when goldberg came to the ring when he comes thru the fireworks and does his little kick and uppercuts, when he did the kick the motherfucker tripped and fell was the funniest shit, he got up embarrassed and smiled and went on to the ring. i couldnt stop laughing he actually fell down!

pretty good event, a few of my friends cancelled at the last minute fuckin stickin me with 20 dollars of the bill and im highly pissed but for UFC they will be payin the whole bill or wont watch it! wasnt worth the 20 i had to pay on my end but wouldve been great if i had only had to pay the normal 7 bucks.

MY Summerslam Review:

Dudleys vs La Resistance:
Ok this feud sucks both teams are stale and they show how awful RAW's tag division is crap, match was ok but i was not interested in it although i do like Rob Conway he looks cool nice twist at the end

Undertaker vs A-Train:
Another crap match, another crap feud at least Taker won..........why the fuck do they push A-Train? And will Taker ever give him 'The Last Ride'

Matt Hardy Version 1 vs Zach Gowen:
lmao this was kinda short, poor Zach had to forfeit.........well it's another victory for Matt Hardy so im happy

Eric Bischoff vs Shane Mcmahon:
Funny, Coach turned heel............Call it like it is Coach, from a wrestling stand point though this sucked nice spot at the end with Shane doing to Eric what he did to Test at Summerslam a number of years ago.........flying through the announce table........nice [ok]

Eddie Guerrero vs Chris Benoit vs Tajiri vs Rhyno:
This 4 guys are class as was this match loads of cool moves and near finishes just a shame it was too short

Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle:
Match of the night great wrestling and for once in wrestling a very clean finish i mean Brock still lost after Vince interfered

RVD vs Kane:
This was kinda crap, obvious winner and match was kinda dead i was bored to tears

Elimination Chamber: HBK vs HHH vs Chris Jericho vs Goldberg vs Kevin Nash vs Randy Orton:
This match was no classic but it worked well it made Nash look ok the way he destroyed everyone after being eliminated, HBK look good giving SCM to HHH and Nash, Jericho making it to the final 3 again, Orton not being eliminated first, HHH winning and being kept out of the match due to his injury and Goldberg looking like a monster for the first time in his career, i liked it as i knew it would be nothing too good.

Overall Summerslam was ok but considering the history of this event it was poor this PPV should be one of the best of the year but this year it was just another PPV

Yeah what an ass and D don't call Goldberg a team player yet i believe his talk with Vince may have been like 'If you lose to HHH at Summerslam then it gives you time to build up the feud so when you face off at Unforgiven the viewing figures will be high when you win the title'.............i mean would Goldberg job to Trips 2wice or even once if he thought he'd not get the title soon..........the wrestling business is a bitch and people hold back those deserving e.g. Chris Jericho, Christian (Intercontinental Champion not on Summerslam), John Cena (not on Summerslam), Matt Hardy (Summerslam match cancelled) if you have no backstage power you will never make it all the way

u are so right about chris jericho, sometimes he is the only thing good on raw, to me he is the highlight of the night if he wasnt on raw i wouldnt view it every single week, christian is great he entertains me and i enjoy watching him wrestle, i also couldnt believe that jon cena didnt wrestle at summerslam or the big show, that was a little weird, or course their were only what 7 matches on the entire pay per view? thats a very low number of matches.

RVD although sucked at summerslam also got screwed over, their was a time he was the most popular wrestler in the business but they held him back putting him in shitty feuds left him off wrestlemania and everything. im putting the blame squarely on kane's shoulders for the SS match. a couple years ago they had jericho and kane in a feud and not even jericho could make kane look good in the ring and those matches with triple h were horrible also, kane is alot like goldberg if the match goes over 10 minutes u can forget it.

i agree goldberg only lost at SS to build up the feud and its so obvious he is going to win at unforgiven cause his career is on the line, stupid stipulation that gives it away that goldberg will win, im not bothering ordering unforgiven, ill probably get the big 4 ppv's WM survivor series, ROyal rumble, summerslam, but ill never buy a brand only pay perview.  hbk vs orton will be good, but i have no idea who jericho is gonna wrestle at unforgiven, i cant think of anyone for him to face. they will probably stick him against nash and that would suck, however a 3 way match with hbk orton and jericho would kick ass.

Hey dude i know it's not RVD's fault but they've made him look so boring i hate the dude now his in-ring moves are repetative and he is nothing on the mic he can't really build up feuds that way, Jericho is definately Highlight of the Night i watch RAW now for him and HBK only, im gonna watch Unforgiven but only cos here in the UK it's free we only have to pay for The Royal Rumble, Backlash, Vengence and Armageddon which is kinda cool..............btw RVD and Cena may not be getting pushed but there are some dudes getting buried out there i mean wtf is Sean O'Haire wrestling Funaki on Velocity if it was upto me id push him and have him feud with Undertaker and put A-Train on Velocity (or fire him)

One nice thing on Raw..good to see Rob Conway.  I hope they let him shine a bit...he's a really good worker and looked awesome in OVW.  His old tag partner Nick Dinsmore is on Smackdown now...playing Doink.  He's pretty good, too...
Pretty much anybody they call up from OVW is worth watching.

I'm pretty sure La Res came from the Canadian independents.  The OVW guys are Lesnar, Rico, Bashams, Orton, Cena, Conway, Dinsmore, Haas & Benjamin, Garrison Cade,Batista, and a couple others.
I'm just a mark for all the new talent, though, really.  I think that even La Res is okay...Dupree, anyway.  His work has potential, but I think his biggest asset is that he plays the character to the hilt.
Just my opinion. [ok]

Rico has allready gotten his "something". The split from 3minW was the start, then came getting paired up with jackie gayda with his new attire. That could be it for him, win or lose.

The two i happen to think are lost on raw are hurricaine and rosy, (or is it jamhal). This is going nowhere fast. I can't imagine too many peaple enjoying the SHIT, at least if you're over 5 yrs old. But, then again, maybe it's in the plan to appeal to the younger audience Grin

WWE use to give the fans what they wanted now do to whatever circumstances we get force fed what they think we should see, the heels and faces are who they think we should cheer for where as when they got on top they listened to what the fans wanted.

i think it wouldve been cool as hell for linda mcmahon to come down and tell shane he was a worthless bastard and that bischoff was great in bed, that wouldve been a shocking kick ass angle

i still liked my idea of having randy orton win the title at the elimination chamber and havin him and triple h develop a rift, they just dont develop storylines, u dont know whose feuding one week to the next, some feuds last to long or others arent built up enough, and they have dumb reasons for feuds now, u have to make the public care why someone is wrestling

one of the last great angles was the stephanie mcmahon, hhh, kurt angle love triangle, everyone has been their before where some fuckin prick tries to move in on your chick so it made u wanna see triple h kick the shit out of him, now the angles dont make u care one way or the other.

wrestling was actually pretty awesome from start to finish tonight i was very impressed with the quality of tonights "raw"

the rvd vs kane cage match was way better than their summerslam debacle. it was an entertaining cage match, i just hate how shane o mac kicks kane's ass but rvd gets pummeled.  lance storm was actually pretty entertaining tonight against rico they did that match very nicely.

the highlight for me was stone colds state of raw address where he,christian and jericho did their thing, i thought jericho was turning face and he still may but stone cold and jericho's segment was funnier than hell

surprisingly the 10 man tag match kicked ass, la resistance messed up big time and nearly killed spike dudley, did u see spike's head hit that table, that was a very nasty spill he took. over rall great spots in the match it flowed very well

main event swerved me i was expecting the very predictable goldberg/hbk vs hhh/ orton match but they did a nice swerve and put the three on 1 and they beat the shit out of goldberg

the jr, jerry lawler, coach, al snow angle is pretty funny, i dont like shane o mac period.

RAW was class but i don't understand the absence of HBK he's supposed to be facing Randy Orton at Unforgiven they should be building that match up, RVD vs Kane was good even though it was really a squash match..........im hoping snow and the coach win at unforgiven they would be so much better than king and ross

raw seems very unspontaneous with jim ross especially, they need to stop going so overboard like every small thing is the greatest thing in the world and shit. JR. and Lawlers enthusiasm seems forced and not genuine

i fully expected goldberg and hbk vs hhh and orton as the main event, i dont know why hbk wasnt their, of course that is the wwe these days, feuds are just sort of thrown together and the build up sucks

remember 4 or 5 years ago wrestling from top to bottom of the card had an interesting storyline, now they have one or two main storylines and throw together a bunch of filler matches for everyone else, they have missed many opportunities but thats why its going down hill.

of course the brand extension has hurt wrestling, imagine it all lumped together, it would be pretty kick ass now wouldnt it?

u know what i blame the demise of wcw and now the wwe on? they started over doing it, they over exposed themselves

when all we had was monday nitro and raw is war it kicked so much ass, then they add thunder and smackdown and it sped shit up and it just burnt wrestling out

if they had stuck to the 2 hour one show a week format i think both wrestlings would still be big today, they over did it!
