Well looks like alot of us and the professionals jumped the gun on the orton/mcmahon storyline saying why did they let shane beatup there top 3 stars...well on raw tonight they had a pretty good setup for it

Yeah i saw that. Good explanation for it in the end. Always good to see Shane-O-Mac have a match. You know something crazy is gonna go down.

Everyone pretty much guessed he'd be fighting Orton at No Way Out, so unless they explained how he had superhuman powers to demolish Legacy last week, it doesn't change the fact he made them look crap!

The No Way Out card is looking really good.

Let's hope the 'Mania card is just as good, if not better.

Indeed, the RAW Chamber although predictable should be entertaining, the Smackdown one is stacked.  Shane always has great matches and Shawn Michaels should drag a solid bout out of JBL.  With them fighting at No Way Out, hopefully it clears the way for Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania  drool

Why the heck is Kofi Kingston in the Chamber though?  Next they'll be putting Mike Knox in  hihi
Damn it! If only I'd said Billy Gunn...  Cheesy

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to the Smackdown elimination chamber.

It's not HHH vs. 'Taker, but it's close Wink

We've had those 2 at 'Mania  Tongue

Admittedly we have had Michaels and Taker before, but NEVER on the biggest show, and I'm inclined to argue, Michaels and Taker would put on a better match than Triple H and Taker  Tongue (Just...)

Haha, yeah no doubt it'd be a killer match, but HHH is my all-time favorite.

As Edge once said "the dude can make a broom stick look good."

HHH gets hated on for some reason on here

Never understood it. He is one of the greats of all time.

I don't think anyone debates he's one of the all time greats. He definitely is.

I think people have issues with some of the things he's done, in his career, politically.    The way he's insinuated himself into the booking process (and that was even before Steph and he became an "item", although from reports he's more firmly entrenched now), some of the stuff he's done to "protect his spot" and protect his friends "spots", etc.    Sometimes, Trips does what's best for TRIPS, and not necessarily what's best for the WWE or the industry.  Not always...and he's also very good at serving BOTH interests, that's true.    But some of his choices are certainly suspect.....that's true, too.

Alot of the issues people take with HHH...they're very similar to some of the criticism you hear in relation to Hogan....

Triple H has been the engine for the show for years

He positioned himself as the central gear around which everything else moved

He was THE heel, he raised people up to be superstars and crushed the dreams of others

...WWE's decline has really coincided with Triple H's decline

Wrestling-wise Triple H hasnt declined - he can do a match as well as ever - but because he plays so much smaller a role in proceedings on the show in general everything else seems to sag

He'd carry a PPV promotion each month

...now, well - did he manage one serious title defence in '08?

Triple H doesnt work as a face outside of a faction - as a heel he gets an angle working and gets the face over.

He had a couple of superb matches with Jeff Hardy last year.

The defence against Orton was messed up by Orton getting injured, and against Edge the feud was rushed (although hopefully they will be rectifying that...)

Agreed, I'm surprised he has stayed a face for so long.  I remember during the Attitude Era his limited face runs were always explained as him hating being a face and enjoying being the heel much more.

Yes - but to a less vocal extent

Triple H commands a John Cena esque pop - and Triple H seems to like that

Trouble is he needs to be the heel for both his own career and for WWE

HHH is ok. I like him. He's not the best ever. By far. But hes decent at what he does. I never thought he was anything special. In fact his long title runs were quite boring. And I was never a fan of the evolution stable or really anything he did in 03/04.

He's good but his shit gets old real quick. I have not missed him on Raw. At all. I dont watch much smackdown, but starting to again since Edge is back.

HHH was one of the biggest reasons I stopped watching wrestling for awhile. Because he was involved in the title picture for to long and it was getting way too boring. HHH vs. Steiner sucked. HHH vs. Goldberg sucked. HHH vs. Booker T sucked. HHH fueding with Batista sucked. HHH fueding with Orton sucked. HHH vs HBK was ok at first but than even that sucked. HHH having the title for what seemed like forever and HHH headlining every raw ppv for what seemed like forever sucked. HHH fueding with the rock was good. Trips fueding with cactus jack was good. See he was good in the begining. Not so good when he was carrying the company.  smoking
