I have to say, as an avid listener of wrestling themes, Randy Orton's is really odd. When it hits, and the first two lines are sung it's a really awesome bit of music. You instantly know who it is, and it fits the character (even more so now he's admitted "mental health issues".) Following that however, it falls into this chug-chug piece of bland rock. How can such a great intro possibly become such crap?

Yeah I have the first ten seconds on repeat.  Cheesy

It works though in a wrestling context, because often their music gets cut off pretty quickly, although to listen to as a song, away from wrestling view, it is kind of meh.

On the subject of they guy and his stable of clones, they need a group logo, t-shirts and titantron, they way any stable should!

And on the random subject of themes and fitting the character, Triple H's first one when he joined The Corporation, the one Steph later kept for herself, My Time, very fitting, very cool  yes

And speaking of old school being cool, Jive Soul Bro! Now THAT is a helluva theme  Cheesy

And since we are delving into themes here, Dolph Ziggler's is kind of nifty, themes are so important, they can kill a guy if they get them wrong, as much as I like the guy Burchill's dull generic theme always puts me off before he has even got to the ring, well that and I know chances are he is doing the job.

Hate to get technical on you, but he had a different theme when he joined The Corporation, and another earlier mix before "My Time". Turns out the earlier mix was much cooler.

As MC would say in reference to Sparky Plugg and his IC Title reign, he had those themes for a cup of coffee dammit, I know which I meant and it was fitting, hence the canning of the other ones, just like most will overlook Orton having Punk's theme for like a week.

Edit: You really have a big memory dude, I think you have like the entire Attitude Era stored there, mine gets cluttered with my Barry Darsow and Billy Gunn references, I mean everyone wishes they remembered Repo Man stealing Macho Man's hat...right?

Favourite themes is it? I like some of the ones Evo posted (Gangrel, MSP, Viscera headbanger). I'll add the Dudleys' late 2001 Alliance theme, 3 Minute Warning's theme, THE DIESEL BLUES, Cactus Jack's music and Sean O'Haire's theme by Waterproof Blonde.

I also give an honourable mention to the themes of Dude Love and Deuce 'N Domino. Hell yeah! Cheesy

EDIT: Triple H's late 2000 one is also cool. Grin

EDIT II: Orton theme doesn't get cut off as quickly as other wrestlers' since he seems to take so damn long to get to the ring. You can almost hear Rhodes and DiBiase saying "hurry the fuck up, we feel awkward just standing here".

Raw was fucking GAY last night.

I like Shane McMahon but jesus, does this guy not know that he is killing the illusion of wrestling.

First he makes RVD look human by stealing his inhuman move that no one else "COULD DO" or ever tried.

I mean if the boss' son can do it, how hard is it?

Then, last night, the boss' son, who isn't even a fucking wrestler beats the shit out of your top 3 heels at the same god damn time?

Anyone who thinks that was great should never complain about Vince Russo again.

that was just retarded.

so now, at WM we are suppose to believe Orton can beat John Cena when he gets his ass beat by the boss' son?

John Cena can't kick Orton's ass but Shane can whip the entire legacy at the same time?

DUMB

Have to Agree with D there, Having Shane-O come out and almost single handly knock out cold Priceless and RKO. They are the top 3 heels, but from what I read didnt those 3 own the Royal Rumble and basically team up to beat the other 27 guys? So Shane-O can in theory take out every one else in the royal rumble becuase he took out the 3 who did the most damage?   I guess in the WWE Universe Shane O is like Chuck Norris.

Are they going to use the RKO and Priceless only got beat because they were tired from the night before approach? I mean why not atleast give Shane O some brass knucks so when he goes in the ring and knocks him out RKO and Priceless dont look so weak.

and like more recently Jack Swagger getting Lance Cade's most recent theme, strangely enough the theme was used only once by both Swagger & Cade.

i thought shane taking out all 3 of them was rediculus, perhaps taking out cody or maybe diabis but him taking out orton was ludacris however they could run with the fact that in wwe universe sometimes if something so bad happens to you.

however shane is over as been able to fight, eg Kane, he went a long time with kurt angle, his farther, who in turn took along match with people like flair, hogan and shawn michaels, and shane has taken on the big show.

in all technicaly if orton takes out shane at a ppv he has taken out his legacy of shane been able to hold his own, also the whole shane mcmahon "legend" of ability to never back down could be killed quickly especialy if orton cuts him off "before" a wwe moment such as the jump from the tron etc

And now his nifty theme is by a RATM tribute act, pretty solid tune to.

Back to old school....

Fuck Legion of Doom, here is Demolition!

And just in case you want to sing along...  Cheesy

Here comes the Ax
Here comes the Smasher
The Demolition, Walking disaster
Pain and destruction are our middle names

Search and destroy you
Run and we'll find you
There's no place to hide
The Demos will get you
Pain and destruction, are our middle names

The Demolition
You better state your act of contrition

Performed by the legend Rick Derringer who also did the classic everyone knows, Hulk Hogan's Real American!

Other Classics.....

Repo Man

Heel Doink.....Kizarny should of had this theme, most people forget Doink originally, was a great character, until they turned him and changed the guy who played him
.

...and how this guy wasn't more over with classics like that, he had it all  Wink.

....and this that put him on the map as a solo star

"I am a Real American......."

I know, I know......just don't put the boots to me TOO hard. Smiley

On another note, I just read an article that now says Mickey Rourke will NOT be at WM.

Truth?  Or smokescreen because he let the cat out early?

I'm gonna go for the latter. They've already posted the Rourke/Jericho Larry King segment on wwe.com

I'm back

Finally saw the Rumble

Waste of my fucking time

As per the powerslam game - got every match, method etc - it was just that obvious, honestly they couldnt have screamed louder than Orton would win

The beauty of the rumble is the unpredictability - take that away and you havent got much

...lol and didnt I say it would be Matt vs Jeff

...truth is out, I'm actually a WWE booker

I think Orton and Triple H both have the best theme songs in the WWE right now....I was pretty sure that it was in fact RATM playing Swaggers song just using different names...like Green Day does sometimes...but it is Age Against the Machine...a rage cover band that is probably the greatest cover band ever put on this earth...had me fooled
