M.V.P's VIP Lounge doesn't end with Triple H pedigreeing M.V.P

Good point. I was pleasantly surprised that they managed to get on (sort of) OK and not end up fighting. Hey, it makes a nice change...
The prospect of these 2 feuding over the WWE Title would be fresh and highly entertaining, superb back and forth promos, later in the year though, I think MVP needs a solid Upper Midcard feud, since Kennedy is a face now I think he would be a good candidate, two stars of the future, in a high profile feud, and two guys who can cut uber great promos, book it!

I'm liking the new name dude, is that your way of officially signing yourself over to the wrestling side of the board for good Tongue

Speaking of new names, I was thinking of changing mines aswell as I only ever post in the Wrestling threads here, and occasionally the "What are you listening to thread." Oh, and Hammy, I notcied you got a mention in the latest issue of Powerslam in the Edge article.  yes

^^Yeah, or at least until we discover who's responsible for Vince's 'accident'. Tongue

I'm wondering where that angle is leading to...

Nah, well, some other wrestling forums I call/called myself HBK4Life, but we shall see. A Matt Hardy one would be cool.

Even in staging another glorious accident, like anything the WWE does they went WAY overboard, Instead of just the stage collapings, or the TV screen falling on him, which could be sold as a real accident, with about what 7-10 semi trucks for equipment and countless crew to assemble it its hard for me to believe:

1- First the spotlight falling out of the blue
2- Then the stage collapsing on itself, ONLY IN THE AREA WHERE VINCE IS STANDING.
3- Then the TV the only one falling is right where Vince was standing.

There is no way all that can happen, SURE they can play it off as Undertaker Staging it all or some other BS but atleast try selling that is believable.

It was believable to an extent. The wrestlers (heel and face) rushed to save him. I actually thought it was very well done. It was like a modern day version of the Shawn Michaels incident from years ago when he passed out in the ring as Raw went off the air. I'm acutally quite curious as to how they will follow up on it.

Most don't put that much thought into it, it was spectacular, overboard and crazy but that's wrestling for you, I mean when it comes to disputing realism and having those conversations in the wrestling field, I mean do people really recover from Sledgehammer shots?

Only in Cartoons. To me it was a little overboard but I am alright with it, unless they are joking about OD'ing on Drugs or Falling from Arena tops THEN I WOULD HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THEIR Shananigans

Somewhat, I think sometimes they try to push the evenlope and its not aways so tasteful. Like when they had JBL tying up Jericho with electrical wires to scaffolding about 6 months or so after that wrestler we dont speak up murdered his family and hung himself on a weight bench. It seemed to soon to be doing something like that.

Yeah alot of people slated the recent Vince thing to, since a few months ago a TNA Worker died (I think scaffolding fell on him or something), so for Vince to have this happen, this way....bit dodgy.

I believe it was one of their veteran set up guys who was preparing for one of their PPVs if I am correct? (not a huge tna fan). But If I was I probalby would of been more affended by this.

In regards of Great Khali....
Calvin sent this in: Hey I am Calvin from India. I am now in the US. Just thought of letting you know that in the aftermath of the Great Khali's visit to India, he is featured almost everywhere. There is a no. 1 watched stand up comedy show called "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge" and nearly on every show there is always a mention of the Great Khali. They mostly end up making jokes of the way he speaks in a garbled way or brag about how they can fight and beat him in funny ways.
. Seems he is a joke even in his home country

I really don't know why they employ, him, I mean I KNOW why, but it's dumb.  Just so they can say they have the world's largest athlete, it's all about getting really big guys to push as monsters, but is it really worth having someone who only has an inch or two on Big Show yet can't work a lick, I mean quiet simply he's Giant Gonzalez on steroids, I feel I'm going round in circles with this complaint though, it's nothing new, he's been rotten since he's come in and we've all hated it, look back about 100 pages and I probably make a near Identical rant, chances are he'll be with the company long enough for me to do the same in another 100. no

He is Giant Gonzalous.

a- Both Speak Poor or no english so they have 0% mic skills
(I just seen the longest yard remake, He couldnt even clearly say his lines in the movies that had to type out what he was saying, VS dubbing it out which would of been better)
b- Both are terrible in the ring. Unlike Giants like Andre, BS, or Heavy Guys Like Yokozuna, They have no skills in the Ring, if you want to see a TERRIBLE and I mean Terrible example Look at WM 9 or the SS that followed and see Giant Gonzalous, His WM 9 match where he drugged the Undertaker was one of the low lights of the worst of the 10 first WM.
c- Unlike Giant Gonzalous who was horrible in WCW and WWF, atleast GG was liked in Mexico where he was from, Khali is a joke in his own country.

IF and I mean IF they are going to use Khali why not do What Vince Sr did with Andre?  He never whored out Andre and only used him sparringly so when you did see him he looked HUGE bigger then in relife. So when you seen him it was special and a treat Khali is all over so much his size no longer is shocking anymore and that the only thing he had going for him.

That's a pretty good idea.  Imagine the occasional mystery opponent appearance, it could at least provide some real entertainment and would definately increase the 'shock' factor.

I have to say I've watched almost no wrestling for about six months.  What I have seen though is DVD's of WM9 and 10.  On WM10 is one of the best matches I've ever seen: Bret Hart vs Owen Hart.  I can now completely understand the praise for Breet and see why Owen was missed so much.  It's a shame there aren't matches like that anymore.  The only people who could do anything remotely similar since were Angle/Benoit/Eddie, maybe a couple of others.  Of course it's an advantage that they're brothers but that match is so well worked it's ridiculous.  It's also got a more believable, brutal edge to it.  Some of the best wrestling in TNA is great to watch but some of the moves can be a bit unbeliebable, while the Hart style could almost be 'real' wrestling.  If that makes sense.

My favourite WWE PPV is stil Wrestlemania 19. Not a bad match on the card really. Even A-Train and Big Show VS. Undertaker was a decent big man match. Plus, that arena had a cool atmosphere to it.

Wrestlemania 17 might be in second place...

Favourite WWE PPV, that's a good discussion point, I'll have to think about that, as a kid for certain it was Wrestlemania X but looking back now it only had 3 good matches, but they were very, very good.

Worst WWE PPV is easy though, King of the Ring 1995.  I mean the booking team must have been on crack.  Undertaker and HBK were involved yet the final was between Mabel and Savio Vega, wtf?

And then a Main Event with the likes of Nash, Sid and Tatanka involved.

Bret Hart the usual guaranteed great match guy facing Jerry Lawler in a Kiss My Foot match.

The entire card stunk, not a single decent match and the outcome of KOTR made it worse.  Mabel won so we could get the chance to see him fight for the belt at Summerslam against Diesel, what a load of crap.

But yeah, best event ever, still thinking....
