Marmite Militia, taking over one piece of toast at a time!!!

« Reply #11440 on: March 11, 2008, 08:06:01 AM »

Well....we are not getting classic battles....

The Undertaker vs. Mark Henry in a Casket Match has been announced for tonight's Raw. The match is a rematch from their Wrestlemania 22 battle.

As noted earlier, The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff will be involved in a WrestleMania Rewind match as they battle the reunited US Express of Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda.

Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka are at the show as well.

Barry and Mike looked like they'd EATEN the "Us Express" version of Mike and Barry.  Barry, especially, has packed on the lbs.  He looks more like Ted Dibiase than the Barry Windham of old.

i am so happy Y2J is the new IC champ!

Peace
I'm not.

It just confirms his place on the card as none other than a midcarder.

Y2J should be right up there with Cena, Orton, HHH, and Michaels.

STAMFORD, Conn. ? In accordance with its Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy, WWE has suspended Jeff Hardy for 60 days, for his second violation of the company?s policy.

And there's why they did it....

...Well there's another MITB spot going spare...

I'm glad to see a new IC champ even if it means Hardy is gone for 60 days. It will bring new life into a title I have loved ever since Mr Perfect first had it. My problem is

I view the IC title as a up and coming top mid card title. I can't see Jericho fueding with midcarders for the title, seeing Jericho fueding with a Carlito, Santiago, or others at that level seems odd, Having Jericho as a IC champ after he was the guy who unified the world titles seems as a step down, maybe they are going to bring the IC title up to where it belongs as being a main event title to compliment the main eventers.

Mike Rotundo looked lighter to me then the last time I seen him as IRS in the 15th Anv Raw battle royal, but maybe that was because he was in black last night, anyone out there hear why their match was cut off of TV and they did 10 mins of commercials?

Hell, since the brand extension there is no true midcard.

Santino etc are way below midcard.

U have headliners, upper midcard and jobbers

True people LIke Shelton Benjamin, Carlito, could be midcarders, but to be a mid carder you have to have some push from the company behind you, and WWE seems to rather be pushing just the main eventers making everyone else jobbers to help sell over the main eventers.

I got some news for you. Very interesting news. From: http://www.impactwrestling.com/Content.aspx?ID=16680

Report: Eric Bischoff & Hulk Hogan To Take On WWE

Hulk Hogan is just days away from launching his own wrestling federation, reports The Sun out of the United Kingdom. In an article posted today, Hogan and ex-WCW supremo Eric Bischoff are partnering up to take on the WWE. According to the article Hogan and Bischoff are preparing to sign a television deal with a network in the United States.

Hogan was quoted as saying ?Once we?ve wrapped the TV up we?ll make the official announcement. The network wants to make a really big deal of it.? He also added ?The basic idea will be the same as WWE, but I pray to god it?s nothing like what?s on TV now.?

So apparently it wasnt so interesting... Per: http://www.wwe.com/inside/industrynews/6623238

Bischoff/Hogan project greenlighted

As reported in an article on Lords of Pain on March 11, the reported project that Terry ?Hulk Hogan? Bollea and Eric Bischoff have been working on together has officially been picked up by CMT. The show will be a reality show starring celebrities training to be professional wrestlers and will likely be named ?Hulk Hogan?s Celebrity Wrestling.? They will have eight episodes and a two-hour season finale. The show should start filming this summer.

The ONLY reason it was defended is because hardy is a fucking moron and got suspended for 60 days. I dont think its going to breed new life into this belt. I dont see it being defended again before wrestlemania. And based on how often we have seen it defended I dont see it at backlash either.  smoking

Suck?  Probably.

But "suck", IMHO, in one of those train wreck, can't look away, reality TV, must watch ways that only a project like this could.

I'll definitely check it out.  It oughta be GREAT "cringe-worthy" TV.  Smiley

So Hogan didnt want to create anythign on TV now and be way different from the WWE, didnt the WWE do a TOUGH ENOUGH show that sounds just like that same principal.  I thought he planned on making a league or wrestling federation, instead he is chipping out another reality show, with 8 little episodes. I mean come on what can it really offer us besides a rehashed version of tough enough.  I am disappointed in this Hogan should be ashamed of himself saying he wants to take on WWE with a Rip off of TOUGH ENOUGH

It seems that there's going to be 7 guys in the MITB Match this year, unless they have another qualifier but on SD they said the Miz/Morrison match was the final one.

I wonder how they're going to explain Jeff's absence for the next 60 days...

Maybe they could say his house burnt down.... Wink

Edit: My bad, that wasn't funny, news is:

Things just got much worse for the recently suspended Jeff Hardy as his Cameron, NC, house burnt down last night, wrecking everything he owns. Hardy and his family were not home at the time.

Could be, although I'm still hoping it's Kofi Kingston or Paul Burchill, a quick push into a match like that would do great things for both those guys.

Edit: I see Jim viewing this thread, now there is a rarity, are you trying your hardest to win the game by....*gosh*....keeping up to date Tongue
