Huge News..Hell Has Frozen Over Once Again and Vince has done it once again...Whos gonna be watching TNA when The Hitman is back on Raw

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Bret Hart has signed a short-term talent contract with WWE that will go into effect on January 1st, 2010, and expire a couple weeks after WrestleMania 26. This makes it very possible that he will be guest hosting the January 4th edition of WWE Raw when it goes head-to-head with TNA Impact. Additionally, Bret could feasibly make further appearances for WWE if his contract is in fact as long as the report indicates.

Brilliant...!

This is what a wrestling fan wants, not a Hulk Hogan promo...

I think "Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels" at Wrestlemania with Special Guest Referee Bret Hart.

Thankfully, everything on TV is in reruns during that time.

I'll WATCH TNA, and record Raw.

Anyone know what kinda shape the Hitman is in, now?  I'd heard that, after the stroke, he was looking pretty harsh. And then after the bike accident, he was in even worse shape. I don't mean "not in good shape", in terms of muscle tone, etc.  I mean "not in good shape" as in limited mobility, moving like a 60 year old man, etc.

Regardless, I'm pumped for the Hitman to be coming back. I want to see him and Shawn square off.

Have they patched over their relationship yet?

Square off, as in have a face to face?  Yeah, that'll be interesting.

Square off, as in get into any sort of physical confrontation?  I just don't see it happening.  Brett has said time and time again that he's hung up the tights, and that anything...any sort of bump...would be too risky to pull off.  He's basically an "attraction" at his appearances, now.  Sign some autographs, say a few words in the ring, etc.  I just don't know how much more he's capable of doing.  From his own indications, it doesn't sound like much.  And..quite frankly...more power to him.  The guy's payed enough, with his body.

I meant meet face-to-face, backstage or on camera.

This would sure setup a nice McMahon/DX vs. HBK/Hart Dynasty match for WrestleMania.

It didn't sound like it in HBK's book from a few years ago.

RIP Dr. Death Steve Williams.............this dude was the shit back in the day of NWA. Lost his battle with throat cancer at age 49.  Sad to lose a fellow Sooner!

Hahaha omg watching TNA off and on tonight was absolutely a blast from the past!  So they're basically going to run almost the exact storylines that got boring in WCW in 99! I see this not lasting very long after they can't cover the salaries of all these big stars at once.

Bret and HBK was more interesting.  That segment played off really well.

Yeah but that AJ vs Kurt Angle match was better than anything WWE can hope to pull the rest of this decade

from the matches i was able to watch Kurt vs AJ was amazing. I dont really know anyone's name from TNA but from the first cage match. they must of screwed up or something since that one dude was hanging from on top of the cage for a good while, just waiting for someone to notice him and try to take him down. It wasnt till someone else climbed the cage to try and take him down when he continued to try and escape that lame cage.

Pretty exciting night for wrestling. And it's about damn time. I'd all but stopped watching anymore. TNA has a talented roster, but their production and storylines are so damn lame. WWE, on the hand, is like watching the same show again and again and again: Cena vs. Orton; Cena vs. Orton; Cena vs. Orton; HHH vs. Cena; HHH vs. Orton; Cena vs. Orton.

Seeing Bret Hart again was a certainly a welcoming sight. He's always been one of my favorite wrestlers. The handshake and hug between Hart and Shawn brought a huge smile to my face. And the ending with Vince was pretty good (I loved Bret's response to Vince saying he wanted to hear Bret say two words: Thank you; and Bret responded, "Those are a lot different than the two words I'm thinking of.") I was a little bit disappointed when they shook hands and posed for the crowd. I was like, "That's it?" Then Vince delivered the low blow. I now look forward to seeing Bret beat the ever-loving shit out of Vince at Wrestlemania (or whenever it may happen).

And being a huge WCW fan as a kid, watching Nitro until the bitter end, I felt like somebody had turned back the clock, seeing TNA basically do everything that made WCW so great in the late 90's (and everything that then caused it to fail miserably). Sting, Hogan, Flair . . . The Nasty Boys (!) . . . Val Venis, X-Pac (or Sean Waltman, rather), Jeff Hardy . . . TNA may finally be fun to watch for awhile. At least, until the nostalgia wears off.

I do think it's very important to us fans that TNA succeed. WWE needs competition to keep upping their game instead of growing stale like it has in recent years.

I watched TNA last night and was impressed.  Some of it was retread, but I get the feeling they're going to pull the rug out from under the retreads and go in completely different directions.  The influx of big name talent is good for that organization, too.  And, from what I've heard, there really weren't that many "big money" deals.  The production values and storylines, LAST NIGHT, were leaps and bounds better than anything I've seen from that company to date.  I think it was one of their, if not their, best show EVER.  And the quality of the ring work (from the knockouts all the way to Angle/Styles) was better than ANYTHING I've seen on WWE (granted, watching sporadically) since...well...a LONG time.

I have WWE DVR'd.  Gonna try to watch it, tonight.  But in flipping over during the commercial breaks, it looked lke the same old WWE.  The Brett/SM/Vince segments were OK, from what I saw of them.  Maybe they'll be better in the continuity of the whole show.  We'll see.
