The HHH/Orton match was actually pretty good(considering I'm not that fond of either), they always do better in gimmick matches and the match was consistent & worked a story (the leg) well...Ha consistent & well are not two words I'd say about Slammiversary, only 1 enjoyable match and don't get me started on Samoa Joe, just terrible.

4.5 thats impressive, wasn't the best of shows but was decent in most parts.

Izzy, It gave them a storyline reason to have the no commercials and got them some mainstream publicity. Hardly pointless. You didn't think the Trump story was going to be long term did you? It wasn't the best of storylines but it worked for them.

god damnit no

The idea was good, the execution was absurd

The fact RAW can increase ratings to that extend means there are millions out there ready to watch - they just need some quality

Trump should have remained in charge - have an endless list of gimmicks, it would have brought something new to the table

...easiest thing to do now is to have the ''famous WWE contract signing segment'', Vince and Trump are in the ring to ''sign back'' Raw, then the ghost of Eddie returns to stop it (or Kane, i dont care...). That way it could continue

McMahon's evil, assistant abusing ways were the most fun RAW has been in years

Is that terrible sarcasim or are you just high?  hihi

In other news, apparently Matt Hardy is out of action due to a torn abdominal muscle and will be out for a few months.

Just wanted to say that if there has been a better set of matches this year than Mysterio vs Jericho then i'd be suprised. Jericho is the MVP of WWE at the moment. His feud with JBL, HBK & Mysterio have all been brilliant. But the in-ring work that Jericho and Mysterio have been putting on is the best (as a series of matches) i've seen in a while.

The Bash was a pretty crap PPV overall.  The Y2J vs Mysterio match was good, but the only other things I enjoyed were the skits involving Vince.  The way he took the piss out of Teddy Long was hilarious and that Gillette advert was one for the ages!  The other funny bit wasn't even on the PPV, it was the clip of him firing Trump on RAW!  Classic Vince - more of the same please WWE, it's by far the most enjoyable stuff you do!  The Hardy vs Punk match was ok with an interesting ending, but I can't really work out what they're trying to do with that belt.

The rest of The Bash was a competition for biggest dud of the year award.  The 'ECW' match was gash and included some seriously rubbish/funny botches.  The tag match was... I haven't even got the energy to review most of it.  The HHH match just showed why HHH and Orton need to end this feud.  I mean, who actually gives a flying one about HHH?  He's not a face, he's not a heel, and I think people are torn over whether they like Orton or not because he's beating up the enemy basically.  It's just so long in the tooth and needs to change or end.

totally forgot about this ppv

oh no my standing in the predictions game will be shot to hell

I think we can close the book on WWE PPV's - they have been rubbish for atleats 5 years and I cant bring myself to watch them anymore (even though in the UK most of them are free)

...your typical PPV is less impresive than your typical RAW/Smackdown - who the hell buys this stuff I have no idea

No, no it wasnt. TNA ppv's are almost always a considerable waste of my time - I have them on in the background while I do something else

I'm fairly certain the PPV format no longer works - far to many of them and frankly if you have a good weekly show what on earth can you possible do of note at a ppv anyway?

WWE does better PPV's but its really the difference between awful and godawful

I seem to watch the TNA ppv's and miss the WWE ppv's because there are SOOOO many recaps on RAW anyway I'll only end up seeing the same footage 30 times

...with TNA if I miss a PPV I might actually miss something thats not repeated

guess WWE figured out what we already know about ECW

Poor Christian left on an island though although a Christian/Benjamin match could be pretty awesome.

Just watched Impact from Thursday and TNA have re stepped their shit up. It was getting a big stale with the MEM but damn, that shit was great at the end. the way they kicked the shit out of Sting and that whole angle. Gonna be interesting to see what happens with Sting now.

They have to bring in somebody as the Front line can't compete with what they got now.

I will say this, The Robert Roode/Steiner match was excellent and so was Booker and James Storm.

Hopefully we will see this tag match at Victory Road.

Considering Steiner's age, do you think he's far away from a Hall of Fame appearance?  Would it happen?  I'd like to think WWE could make room for Sting at some point, but I suppose that's unlikely.
