rock am perfomrance on german tv

German TV channel WDR will air VR's performance from the Rock Am Ring festival (June 5th) on Sunday night (technically early Monday morning). The performance will be shown on the Rockpalast program, which starts 5 minutes before 1 am. The special will first air Garbage's performance from the same festival.

i just gave my 2 cents on the guy. and axl had the persona, and the timing, to pull that off.
weiland is trying to hard to be a rock star like axl, the new axl (he should've stuck with what he was like in STP), when in reality he is just a bleek little copy who likes to brag about his drug abuse like a loser, and gets all fired up everytime someone criticizes him, like in the press. weiland should've played in motley crue 20 years ago. then his actions might have been considered cool. now he just seems out of place and makes VR look like they're trying to be what guns n' roses was 15 years ago, talking about drug habits in the media and doing the whole 80's style thing over again. they should just move on like axl has. there's nothing more sad than a rock and roll band stuck in the 80's, that's why axl moved on from slash.

VR isn't normal average boring rock.  It's far from what you'd call 80's rock... far far from it.

why is scott pretending to be like axl.. Why does he have to be put in the trying to be like axl category?? he was quite good with stp and sold many many millions of albums.. The hat is pooor taste because of what it's symbolizes but otherwise he does his own thing, he always dyed his hair, always kept it very short always used a megaphone..

I hate Scott being compared to Axl, he is nothing like Axl nor will he ever be.   Scott has his OWN style and his OWN attitude towards, music, press, whatever.  Comparing Scott is nothing but whining about somebody other than Axl fronting Slash, Duff and Matt.   There should be no reason to even bring up, Scott and Axl in the same sentence when talking about VR.

the bottom line is that if any of you fuckers think Scott has even LOOKED at Axl, you're deluded.  I'm 100% sure he doesn't give a fuck about Axl Rose.  And the time he took the piss of Axl on stage?  That was the 'classic' Axl Rose look that everyone knew.  Eminem did similar.  You don't need to look at concerts of Axl to remember that look.  The look that Scott is using at the mo is unlikely to be a reference to Axl.  You honestly think he wants anyone saying he copies a guy that he has fuck all to do with?
