yeah, I noticed that point a couple of time ago while I was listening to the blues. the drums are awesome. On IRS it's very "groovy"? I think he has more potencial than Matt . There is something of John Bonham in that guy.

Finally, Brain is a human beeing, he knows what people say about him on the internet, and I think he is hurt. That's the way I see it.

I'm hurt too, nes. And I don't give a fuck.

I could care less if he's in it for the cash or not.

Most honest musicians will tell you they got in the business for 2 reasons:

1. Chicks
2. To avoid getting a real job.

Not that I care what they say officially or what they think of their job  but

Can you name some recent n decent musicians who told you that they were only for the cash n chicks?

I don't think Brain "doesn't give a fuck". I think he cares.

It's definitely a lame answer no doubt, if that is how he really feels, sounds very David Lee Roth like right when he broke up with Van Halen and he was all over MTV with all these chicks and being so flashy Grin ?Seriously, I hope he was joking...

What about the money? Are they RecenT musicians?

Anyway somehow I see  the stress of the quote on the first clause.

sounds very David Lee Roth like right when he broke up with Van Halen and he was all over MTV with all these chicks and being so flashy Grin  Seriously, I hope he was joking...
That's what I thought. And yes, I bet it's a joke. I'm hurt because I think all the members are at heart deeply hurt by constant heartless remarks, still pretending stone deaf to them. Brain is the most outspoken of all that he expressed the pain by the self-piss-taking and laughed at it that way.

Wait, maybe that's badass? idea

What about the money?

What about it??

Are they RecenT musicians??

Two of the most highly respected and influential guitarists of the modern rock era, the musical forces behind both their seminal bands.

Let's get some perspective:
"That's why these guys worked real hard at being in a band that they can get abused for "because they're the guys in the way of stopping the old band from getting together."

Again:
"That's why these guys worked real hard at being in a band that they can get abused for "because they're the guys in the way of stopping the old band from getting together."

If you don't see any humour in Brain's answers you're too fucking thick.

I can't recall a more quiet time since the band split in 93 than it is right now.

The guy is being a smartass...give me a break. "got's to get paid" is a slang expression used by black guys. I say it all the time too. It's a joke. It's funny-not one word from you guys about? the song mentioned. Now, having Brain, Youth, and Buckmaster comment on Prostitute, it is safe to assume that it is one of "the big guns". I will go out on a limb and predict that it will be a single some day. Stuff like that get's me excited-not smartass comments from bored band members.? peace

"It's a band, as long as I'm getting paid."

Is that the reward for being a true fan even in silent times and patiently cutting the new guys some slack, giving them a chance?

WELL, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Sarcasm?

Well, if he doesn't want to give interviews, then maybe he should just SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!

He is hurting the band with these comments.

He is playing with the fans.

The 200.000 people at RIR3, millions on television (RIR, VMA) and a sold out Madison Square Garden would not have given a FUCK about BRAIN, if he wasn't in GN'R.

Sorry if I don't get the sarcasm behind comments like these. But IMO this is just piss-poor behaviour, not sarcasm.

Maybe GN'R should not look for another guitarist, but rather employ a DRUM COMPUTER!!!

I think we are reading WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too much into these questions and responses from brain, It's obvious to me, by the questions and his answers, that he is a bit of a smart ass. his answers seem very "tongue in cheek".  He comes across to me as a guy who only works on projects he believes in.

For example, did he play for Primus for the money? or how about Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains? I don't fuckin think so.

In GnR's case, money is a wonderful side-effect. That is, if they decide to release an album ever.

The old saying goes..... "Ask a Stupid Question ... Get a Stupid Answer"

I'm with Neemo on this, way too much over analysis...

If he's being tongue in cheek, so what?

If he's being sarcastic with a hint of frustration, who cares?

If he's being honest, good for him.

I think him even considering GNR a blip on his musical radar is a plus..

I think the smiley face after the response regarding his own website indicates that he's joking.
