No more than any other piece of cardboard is.
I remember watching girls 'use' these things in college. They would claim it was moving on it's own. I would always say "Why not let go then and lets watch it fly!?" LOL, they'd never let go of the stupid thing.
It's all bullshit. Who wants to talk to your dead relatives anyway?

Wasn't the movie The Exorcist based on a true story ? I heard the kid got possesed by an evil spirit by playing with the ouja board.
It is, the song Melissa by Mercyful Fate tells the story about that. The church always tried to cover it up and try to explain or make reasonables statements about the fact, it never was explain like anything crrep around the church.

Danm!, you post the some joke I was supposed to post before I do!
I saw some friends doing ouiji when I was a kid, but I really freak out cause I was like 9 or 8 but things started to get heavy, there was a lot of cold inside the room, candles started to turn off I was really scared, but now looking back I think it all was my imagination cause I was a kid and now I got perfect explanations

A few years back a few of my friends and I were playing oujia for the first time when I asked it if my mom was going to have a good wedding. (She was planning on getting married in 3 or 4 days) The board said no, so we put it away and didn't think anything of it. The next night my mom's fiancee got into a car accident and died.
It was probably just a coincidence, but it freaked me out!

I never tried one before , everytime I ask a relative of mine what they're like , they warn me not to use them and friends either say they're cool or nothing happens . I'm just curious , what is everyone's opinion here on them?
well some people has gone crazy when theyve used it.... and some others still feel strange things at their homes... so better dont do it... as we say "la curiosidad mato al gato"...

Honestly, no sarcasm intended here what so ever (sincerely), but you are either fucking hillarious or the dumbest person on this board.
I actually laughed out loud, twice, after I read that.
And I just laughed again.
Seriously, please say you were joking, because that is fucking great.

Usually the kind of ghosts to take control over somebody for that short a time, are more the "prankster" types. They'll take control, then make phone calls ordering pizzas etc. When the ghost leaves , the person is stuck buying 20-30 pizzas.
I've seen it a million times.

I have been on one when I was 14 and it was strange and eerie. That piece was definitely moving and we weren't moving it.

They're almost as dangerous as listening to Led Zeppelin backwards.?
Yes but only almost
I'm suprised I've never heard of this since I used to study magick and occult, if it's to with ghosts though it's probably BS

It's worth a shot.
But I think Enron, Martha Stewart and the latest from Tyco used the excuse already.............

I am only saying what I remember. Seriously, I think it has something to do with the electricity or something like that between the 2 people cause you have to have your knees touching, I am laughing as I am typing this but I am telling you that piece was moving on it's own, I swear we where not moving it. And we where asking questions about our friend that killed himself and he asked about his dog. Either it was him or we were so messed up by the fact he was dead that we where imagaining the whole thing.

I remember when I was 12 years old, and that horror movie 'Witchboard' came out, there was 2 kids selling Ouija boards they made out of binder paper for 50 cents each. There was a HUGE line of kids by the bleachers buying them!! LMAO!! I'll never forget that as long as I live!

If you want yo be freaked out, i' will tell you that i told everyone around me my new place had a ghost called Meryl who had been a girl who was raped and murdered and apart from two who are sensitive to these thinhgs, everyone laughed.
Up until i found some insects that happen to be skin eaters. That's science.
Good evening.
