Hmm, well in my oppinion, I'd watch what you say unless you wanna end up eating your words. Think about this, we live in a generation who live by the "flavor of the moments", tell me now-a-days how many bands from this generation are there that are timeless or have been in the spot-light longer than a year or so, most artists now run a time span of a couple years, where as before people actually respected musicians an musicians respected music- they wrote an played for the art therefor timeless an unbelievable music was made. But now-a-days its not like that, an this generation just throws in an out music genre's an artist an get tired an sick of someone real quick. They are so used to this that they dont even have respect for true artists from back then. So what do you think would have happened if Axl stayed in the public? It would have watered down his name, an instead of being a legend- he would be known as just another face in the world of celebrity, an not getting credit to what he deserves. This goes for all the members that were in GN'R, if the band stayed together- it woulda been killed by the public's inability to hold onto something. Better having them bow out at the perfect time, then them be slaughtered with titles of "has been" an over exposure. I think Axl keeping quiet is the best thing he can do. Axl is someone who is not like others, there's something special about him, there is something about his presence an about his unique-working mind, dont be quick to think of undeserving reasons to why this album is taking so long an why it is kept quiet. I think if Axl Rose has been working on something for 10 years, it's not to be taken lightly, it's something that you better hold onto your seats an prepare yourself for what he's about to do. Axl isnt gonna do this the world's way, if he was, then his art would be thrown into the rest of the pile that society has made of socially-dead artists. If he did it the world's way, then there would be nothing special. An that's what makes him different, an that is how you know that what you will see will have never been seen before. Axl has this force and enigma, this way of mind that is on a whole different level. As a GN'R fan, consider yourself lucky, not screwed, that band was saved from being something it shouldnt. Think of a band that was really cool last year, an EVERYONE loved them, an now this year you are embarassed to say you ever liked them. That's how it is now-a-days, that's what this generation does. So we're lucky GN'R was saved, an never will have be "embarassed" when we say our favorite band's name, because Axl is someone who has full control an sense of what is going on in the sake of not being the tail to society but being the head. Axl isnt just going to throw this amazing album out an it be done, he has to fully construct an plan out- how can he make this work to fully get it out there that his name will stay an stand the test of time- that it wont be in one day an out the next, 10 years- yeah I am so glad it has taken this long- cause that gives me more faith that his name an the bands name will last forever. The timing will be perfect.
