Notify button, what?

I hit the "Notify" button By mistake.
I thought I was replying to a clone topic not knowing the button was already turned into the holy "Notify" one.
The "Notify" button seems scary and untouchable to me.
What have I done by pressing that?

Pressing the Notify button allows you to send a message to the moderators letting them know you find the thread or a post unsuitable for one reason or another. It's no big deal, don't worry

No, that's the "Report to moderator" thing.
Notify is a feature that will send you an e-mail as soon as somebody posts in the thread that you clicked on the Notify button in.
