Is There A Puzzle To Solve?
«
on:
June 18, 2005, 02:23:18 AM »
Is it possible that Axl is waiting for a 'real time visionary' fan to solve some GNR puzzle before he releases CD? I know it seems like a lame theory at first glance, but in Axl's strange world, its possible. I just cant think of a legitimate reason for the holdup of CD. Maybe he's waiting for some riddle to be solved. Axl has always had a macabre relationship with his fans, and this would definitely take that to a new level. I've always thought that if this album ever gets released, the reasoning behind its delay is going to be so outrageous that most people wont believe it. So what do you guys and gals think? Could someone PLEASE solve the puzzle??

You never know! Mr Lofton if you are the chosen one who can bring balance to the matrix then only you can solve the riddle and bring CD to us! Good luck man!

It is really sad that we all think or some think that there is some master plan or secret behind the release of this album. Some think checking out robin finck's pictures, google, or encouraging axl in threads, or letters of support or standing on your head in the northwest corner during a fuill moon is going to bring out cd when it's not.. There is no mystery imo it's just someone that isn't ready now or might never be to release this.. Was no offence james
Some things are cool to do but nothing we do will get it out any sooner.. As much as I look forward to cd/s and lots of touring I almost doubt axl wil do that.. The man is very private he has grown more invisible then ever he doesn't give any updates he has such a hype to live up to with cd he has to never miss a show again at the last second,... Who knows if he can even get anyone to back a new gnr tour??
We'll really be lucky to see an axl rose we once knew ,it's just been so long and he has some sort of issues outside and in his head..

The puzzle is, it's never good enough in Axl eyes. Let's hope the last piece is by the end of this year

I know, Mike, I'm grasping at straws. But no one had ever thought of that theory. Thought I might as well put it out there on the table. CD might be "mindblowing", but the wait for is mindblowingly insane. I just dont get it. I dont really think its Axl's perfection that's holding up the album. It's something more sinister then that. I hate to say this, but I think people need to realize there's a possibility that this album has been rejected by the record company several times. It happens to other artists, so it could happen to Axl. But why would they reject an album that will sell millions whether its good or bad? I've always thought CD got rejected in late 2002, causing another GNR trainwreck. I also cant believe that there is no respected journalist trying to get to the bottom of this story. I think that right there proves there's not as much interest in GNR as previously thought. That NYT article was a decent insight into Axl's world, but it really didnt tell us what was going on with the whole CD situation. I think if some journalist could figure this shit out, it would be worthy of a Pulitzer Prize.

Do you really think the album has been rejected by the record co, that's reaching a bit.? It's a theory I have never heard before but won't they want this album to come out to finally get some returns?? Just from what I have heard live of the songs that I like, I can't see Geffen saying, no, no not good enough.? They are and have been letting Axl run the show, if he was ready, I think they would jump at the chance to finally get this out.? It's been on their release lists every year.? Every producer he has worked with, claims the tracks are amazing.

It has come to this...
Some of us are now losing what little minds we once possessed to the insanity that has been created due to the absence of Chinese Democracy.?
Ruin, bring the sweet death, for no punishment be too wicked that it shall bring upon a sweet subjugation over the hell that life hath become.

Actually in a radio interview during the 2002 tour, Axl himself said that part of the reason CD hadnt been released yet was cos "the record company felt we could do better", so perhaps a more likely theory than this pseudo culitsh psycho one is that as a band they simply dont have great songs. From the 7 or so that they played live I'd only consider Blues and Maddy to be worthy of a GNR album, the rest had elements of very cool musicianship or good lyrics but as songs were very, very subpar.
