Found this over at Mygnr. A newbie name TheViper posted it. it desn't sound live either. What do you think? Is it bullshit?

First part is OMG, second part is The Blues (is this live or studio?) third part is Giant Robot by Buckethead.

Sounds like just a loose, guitar demo.
Whether it's legit or not, it doesn't really do much for me.

Yep, sounds like a cleaned-up live version to me too. The guitars have been put forward and the drums are wayyy too inaudible.

I thought it may be live too but I hear no crowd at all. Can you delete the crowd by cleaning up sound clips?

It does sound pretty rough though

You know its not studio because listen to the real clips from the promo, they sound totally different. Also, you can tell its not really studio since the person picked a part where Axl was not singing.

Should I change the title of the thread then?

Yes you can

Listen to this after the beginning. You cant heard the crowd at all pretty much.
Skip to the middle and lisiten to the solo in this version, it sounds studio but its not.
He could have used this since the mix is much better and sounds better.

I'm just in to reading latley I forgot what it sounds like to hear Axls VOICE but if theres anymore down loads they should at least have some Axl singing along w/it. Sounds like a live  version just cleaned up. I'm not impressed at all, the studio versions will sound so much fuller than this crap your head will spin. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Robin fucked up his solo ----> Soundboard
I've always wondered what the hell he has with his guitar tone. I'm really not a fan of his guitar sound. It sounds really..."special".

Special means "Retarded!"  rofl rofl

I don't care to much for his "sound" either but, whatever, I don't have a say in who the GnR guitarist is.

I think you didn't understand what I meant, because there was nothing funny out there. The guitar sound (tone) is extremely important for a guitarist and more generally for a band. It's as important as the voice for a singer.

I understand it's important. and I understand that Finck is an average guitarist at best, but at this point I just wanna hear some new music with Axl singing. And I have no say in whether Finck stays or not so I guess I'm gonna have to deal with his special "tone" or "sound" or whatever you wanna call it. (seriously though, lighten up I was just having some fun. you said he has a "special" sound and I my reply was supposed to be a joke)

And for all you finck lovers, If the album comes out and his solos are amazing I'll be the first to apologize for saying he sucks, but I thought he was brutal on the 2002 tour.

I was the one who originally posted the clip in the first place, and directly stated it was live clips right from the get-go. I made it for my college friends and uploaded it in a MyGN'R string because I thought other Gunners would find it amusing. "The Blues" section is from the Pittsburgh soundboard. It sounds studio (but again, IS NOT) because I band extrapolated the audio and then sped up the tempo to correspond with the guitar solos in the Vegas and Rio performances. I thought that it would be safe to do this if I directly said exactly what it was, but I should have known some dipshit would reupload while adding a bunch of lies. Sorry for any confusion.

Finck doesn't suck. None of new GN'R members "suck". and you know, it's a very critical (rather EXIGENT) guy who tells you that: me, nesquick.
I think the right view is when you say "I thought he was brutal on the 2002 tour". That's right. That's the right analyse in my opinion. I agree. In my opinion, his sound was "brutal" in the way it was in total opposition with how GN'R sounded back in the days (this "classic-rock" sound, both bluesy and row). I think it was "brutal" because Robin's style is so different from what GN'R has always been that...sometimes you wonder if he is really the right guy, considering his style and approach (same for BH, Fortus is perfect though). It doesn't mean he sucks, I have too much respect for Robin to say he sucks, it wouldn't be nice, but it's pretty clear for me that Robin is a step back of talent compared to Slash. I am fair, and I like to be fair, He doesn't do justice to the "former" lead GN'R guitarist. Undecided
