Did anyone else ever notice that "Nightrain" is the only song that ends with a studio fade-out? Every other song comes to an abrupt end, but "Nightrain" fades.

Was there ever any reason given for this?

yeah I noticed 18 years ago.....anyway, I like the feeling the song gets with the fade out ending, its like never ending feeling cause actually is one of the longest fade out that I heard besides in a darkened room by skid row,on the demo for nightrain also sound good the abrupt ending.

Some people obviously just can't get by without the quote function........

I think it fades out to give the impression of a train rolling away into the distance.

Fading out is a lazy way of ending a song. Its like bands that do fade outs cant figure out how to end a song so they just fade it out.

Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

They had a very good ending in lives though.
I don't think is a lack of ability or something to finish it.
The solo is unstoppable.
