Their new album, Get Behind Me Satan, is being released in a couple of days.  Has anyone heard it yet?  Plan on buying it?

What does everyone think of the new single "Blue Orchid"? (BTW, Jack apparently got married to a girl from this video recently)

I think the album is great, I don't think its as good as Elephant, but maybe that will change as I warm up to it.

Personally I think they're garbage.  Jack White is one of the most overrated guitarists out there.  He made that Rolling Stone guitarist list and Slash didn't!  The only thing that keeps that band remotely popular is their gimmick.  Its just two people and one of them is a girl.  If it wasn't for their image and whatnot no one would give two shits about them.

Not a fan either, never really liked them but i think they're new single Blue Orchid is class.

I think they're pretty good.  I'm not blown away by any means, but they're one of the best new rock bands.

oh, and 'Blue Orchid' is a GREAT song.  It definitely makes me want to buy the album.

4.5 / 5.... where they gave Elephant 5/5, which is basically what I would expect.  The new album sounds really good to me, but I don't think it has anything that tops the high points on Elephant ("Seven Nation Army" or "Ball And Biscuit").

I like Blue Orchid a lot, but I think the rest of the album needs a little bit more electric guitar.  I can't get "Forever For Her" out of my head right now though, damn is it catchy.

is it more country/blues style then?  I read somewhere they did some songs with the country singer Loretta Lynne. 

I wouldnt give Elephant 5/5, but I enjoy the album a lot.  He has interesting lyrics, and I like his vocals.  His singing on Blue Orchid reminds me of Prince.

not that great of a band. lyrics are alright, but the sound of a guitar and a drummer and very bad vocals just dosnt impress me

although I agree that Slash should have been on that list, I disagree with the rest of your post.

Jack White is a hugely talented guitarist and songwriter

To truly appreciate them however, is to see them live

Yeah, there are a few songs that are very country... I'm not a big fan of them.  "Little Ghost" is probably my least favourite song on the album.  Overall I really like the album, but Elephant was just a little bit better.

I like them. Good, solid, rock and roll band. Haven't heard the new album, but I'll eventually download it (Yes D, I'll be stealing    )

There's one thing I don't like about them though. Their stupid dress code. Why do they only wear red, black and white?

The sound of the guitar is great! I hate Blue Orchid, it is really poor. To be honest I only like Seven Nation Army and the cover version of I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself.

This is an OK band. At least they are not strupid nazi metal heads (Scott? are you here?).
Check the song "Jolene" it's a great one.
