Gossip Section

An organiser for 'Live Aid II' has told Splat that Axl Rose has been approached to appear at the worldwide charity event scheduled for July 2005. All the greatest bands and band members have been approached, according to one organiser. However, the organiser told Splat that they are yet to receive a reply from the elusive Mr Rose.
We approached Axl's management about the invitation, and they were unable to confirm or deny whether Axl would be taking up the invitition. It is also unclear as to whether Axl Rose would be appearing solo or as part of Guns n'roses.

Is Live Aid II just planned for overseas...or are they going to do the States and Overseas like they did before?  Is Bob Geldolf involved in this one also?

Yes, bo G is and a few american bands are taking part.

It's a HUGE event, and i know many people who are going already.

If axl has warmed up his voice ( la las everyday for 1 hour  Wink) and is confident about himself, he should accept and do OLDIES.

I know it may be annoying, but even robbie  williams may do " we will rock you" or something like that.

The crowd ( and what a crowd this will be) loves songs they can sing along to or dance to, so GNR classics would be just it.

Makes perfect sense to me.  GN'R seem to lend themselves to noble causes pretty easily, and the timing seems to fit.

It's going to be in Philly and Bob G. is doing it.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

It really is a pointless thread since we have no information on the substance of the discussions that are going on between GN'R's management and the show organizers.

Yes we would like to see Axl at the show but the rest of it is just blind speculation at this point.
