i havent been to a gym before and i want to go to one. is it considered uncool to goto a gym by yourself? im not a social person so i thought id just do that. do u people go to gyms with freinds or what? i know this is a stupid question but ohwell.

I usually go alone, when alone I do a harder training than otherwise, but it's more fun to go with friends, and some friends help you push the limit.

I'm an easy talking person so the first day I went to the gym alone (my friends didn't want to move their ass, they are lazy! ), and 2 weeks later I was friend with a dozen of people there. There are nice chicks? . In fact you always see the same people at the gym, so after a certain period of time, everybody knows everybody.

Perverts are everywhere, but what you can easily find as a woman in gyms are men who have egos so big they think they can " pull" in gyms because there is a legend that says women are very easy in gyms.

So for the few who are easy, all women wearing tight fitting clothes and doing what some obsessed men consider " erotic moves" fall into the category of women who have no life and only go to gyms to get fucked ( sarcasm)...

Basically, if these men spent on their bodies the time they spend imagining fucking invisible women, they'd probably look good ?

Tommy Gunn definate tosser...unfortunately my gym plays crap pop music and i struggle to get motivated listening to Westlife.

Back in the day, and I do mean, way back in the day when I worked out at a gym, occassionally, I would go with a friend for motivational purposes.  Sometimes, when she was unable to make it and I felt somewhat motivated, I would go by myself.  I would just bring along my discman, my favourite cd, and do my work out.  At the time, I attended a university-based gym and never had an experience when someone would bother or hit on me.  Maybe it was more up scale than some in the alley-gym, but yeah, I never had any problems when I went to the gym with a friend, or by myself.

I just got back actually, and as usual, I went alone.

I just work out and leave. I may talk a little bit, but I'm only there to get fit.

There are some gyms that are meat markets and if you notice, people aren't even really working out. Just trying to pick up.....yawn....I go to get/stay in shape, not meet people.
