Well guys... for me firing old guys was unnecesary... ?they could have done even better things... together... but now... axl only has puppets who honestly look more like a band of freaks from ?Circo du Soleil....... ? Im not necesarily saying... these new guys... dont have talent... cause they have.... but GNR didnt use to be about that....

Neither I like the fact that such a huge musician as "axl is"... tries to be like NIN or PEARL JAM (second class musicians compared to him in my opinion) look where grunge is right now... I mean i never liked it ... and now it doesnt work anymore.... Honestly I like the new songs... but they are not how GNR used to be... and its ok that Axl wants to go further and evolve but he could have perfectly done it... with the guys he fired....

Besides CD name me one grunge sounding new gnr song? Most song like the UYI era stuff with a modern twist. As for evolving with the old guys, they didnt want to progress thus that is why they quit.

I love CB Ive been listening every day since it came out, so its a great record but has nothing to do with Axl.

Listen, everyone calm down, Axl hasnt been exposed, hasnt lost any opportunity.

If CD comes out and is a big pile of shit, then and only then can u say he is exposed or lost it.

until we hear the whole album, nothing has been lost or gain, we are in limbo as we have been for years.

IRS however with the shitty demo sounds very very promising.

If Axl isnt full of shit about IRS,Madagascar and The Blues being the big songs, then basically he cant fail.

Carlos U are calling Trent Reznor a second class musician?

dude outside of Prince he is probably the greatest musician alive.

Yes i always thought the bucket was some kind of bad joke directed at slash, and the fact that buckethead wore a black curly haired whig all the time made him look more like slash than he would have, Kind of like a cartoon Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial version of Slash, maybe slash should have beat his ass !

Not only is Axl quickly heading towards irrelevancy, I think he's getting closer to the point of a fan backlash.

Axl Rose has been irrelevant to the music biz for about a decade already, probably longer for the casual listener. And as for "getting closer" to a fan backlash, surely reading any GNR board from 2000 onwards is proof of the current and ongoing backlash? It's the "hardcore" old-school GNR fans who seem to dislike Axl the most! If they disappeared tomorrow GNR boards would look like Axl's own Manson Family compound.

Neither of those things matter one bit to those of us who just want to hear the new album. If anything is still  in danger of becoming irrelevant it's the schizophrenic GNR "online community".

Want to replicate the fun of the GNR boards in your own home? With my new patented process, "It's So Easy"! Just take two copies of AFD on vinyl, put a big scratch through "Sweet Child O' Mine" on one copy and another scratch through "Out to Get Me" on the other. Now, take two record players and cue up those tracks. Play both, at the same time, preferably with the speakers aimed at each other. It's that simple! You'll never need an internet connection again! VR talk goes in the VR section, thank you very much.

This discussion bores me. It's the same things we've heard before.
