Mabey they could do one concert of all the new material before they release the album, then release the normal album and the live album on the same day

Isn't that called a double album?
That was nothing new...

But the 2 seperate things, that was pretty cool.
Or a good way to make the most money.
Double CDs usually cost $25...
2 seperate CDs cost $30-$40.
ha ha ha

I liked that idea though.

As for Pearl Jam...
They released 20+ live CDs at the same time.
Within a few months they had 72 live CDs out. The whole tour.
Now THAT was a new idea.

I think GnR should take a page out of U2's book this time around for when CD is released. They should tour around NYC or any large city for example on the back of a flat bed truck and showcase their entire cd of new material for their fans. The idea did wonders for U2 and the fans ate it up, and lets not mention their album jumped to #1..

Yeah right.... You could just cut up a bad double album into two crappy albums. and releasing two new albums on the same day ISNT GROUND BREAKING.  Nelly did it and put out two crappy albums on the same day.
