It's called sarcasm.

Here I'll do it again:

Will that guy that killed his whole family actually be able to serve those 25 life-terms?

Amityville is a hoax.

The lutz family capitalized off the murders to make money plain and simple.

They concoted the entire story, got with a book writer, made a big thing out of it, and then a movie and got out of debt.

A family lived their after the Lutz family and reported nothing bizarre or wrong.

Psychics and demonologist stayed at the house and reported evil/negative energy

another paranormal guy dismissed those claims as a hoax.

however though, and this is interesting

a host of people involved with trying to prove the Amityville horror as a hoax died under some weird circumstances.

so i believe its a hoax but u never know do u? nervous

I grew up on Long Island and have been to the Amityville house many times.   What KFD says in the first part of his post is 100% true.   I don't know about the second part of his post but that could be true.  When the son was convicted of killing his family, his lawyer came up with the idea of the possesion.  One family did change the windows to try to stop people from passing the house.  I have no idea if anyone lives there now and because of the movies the house is eerie.
