Perhaps the reason the band members are all busy this year is because there will be no large scale tour. Maybe Axl doesn't feel like going on the road for a long time. The band may just get together to shoot the music videos and play high profile events like the Grammy's and the Super Bowl. Just a thought though....

Actually, I highly doubt there will be any more tours. Even if CD is a major success. The album will be a success, but it will do it slightly under the radar. I just don't think Axl is going to do touring and heavy promotion for the album. We may not even get any videos. And as far as the Superbowl thing goes: Its not gonna ever happen! The NFL is not going to take a chance on their being a riot at the most watched event in the world.

What the "other" band members say is irrelevant. If you don't believe me, go read some of their past quotes about CD release. I think its more than onvious that Axl isn't suited for touring anymore. I would love to see GNR live again. Haven't seen them since 1991. I just don't think its gonna happen. Can you imagine how much it would cost for the insurance just to have Axl show up at an arena?

I honestly wouldnt care if GnR just toured behind CD in book stores or small clubs..I just want to hear new music and see what this band has to offer that warrants the name "GnR", but most of all I want to see what Axl's vision of GnR has always been. Id love to see GnR selling out some stadiums as we saw is possible in large cities, but small scale shows would be fine for me too. Smiley

I think Axl would be interested in a world tour were he's playing before 80,000 everynight in only major cities were he can be the RockStar he is. No more extended trecks across North America in the dead of winter playing for 7,000 in Boise, Idaho. All or nothing for him at this point ?& rightfully so. JMO.

Sometimes, I wonder if he will ever go on the road again. and sometimes I think his silence means he has a secret plan. It's 50/50.

he has said alot of things, from saying right after Slash left that there would be an album the next year, to a year ago saying that they hoped to announce a release date in the coming months.....

don't put any stock in what Axl says, he changes his fuckin mind when the wind blows....

Damn us! We are on a GNR message board. We sit infront of our computer and know everything by reading poor rumours and speculate what the band
will do, or will not do! What the fuck do we know anyway! Its not like we are some fu**ing Psycologists....!
They have said that they are planing on going out there and doing things right. Lets just trust them on that!!! ?confused

I only believe what the band members actually say. Not a hearsay.

When they say something they mean it but shit can always happen.

That's the way life goes (in the GN'R world) Cool

The old days of playing in a live-setting with a rowdy, young band are long gone.

I've always thought Axl could do his best work from the studio now.

Are you people psychic or something?
Nothing like assuming everything.
Some of you must really feel like you're in Guns N' Roses.

Why wouldn't they tour?
You guys talk like you know Axl personally or something. Saying he's this, and that.

A tour would almost be necessary for sales.
Not making videos would be plain foolish.

Axl and the band seemed to have a blast on the last tour. Look how happy Axl was in Madison Square Garden.

For starters, yes, I am psychotic.? Just ask anyone here...

As far as Axl and the new band go, reason would indeed say that they should (and need) to tour.? For financial reasons as much as anything.

But "reason" and "the norm" really aren't terms that would apply to this band or what they've been doing for the last 7 years or so.

The Madison Square Garden show was one of the best of the last tour.? It was sold-out, the band and Axl did well, etc.? Axl had every reason to be pleased with that one.

However, while I could be wrong, I just don't see Axl having it in him to do the kind of tours like he used to.? Besides, Axl has always seemed to work best from the studio rather than a live performance.?

If anything, he should probably leave the "live element" to the old band and simply win over new fans and old with the music alone.

C'mon you people, ofcourse GNR will tour if CD ever comes out.  And no, their shows wont be like they were 15 years ago.  Why?  Because Axl is older, they don't have Slash, or Duff, and they will have different music.  But that doesn't meen they won't tour.  Def Leppard still tours, Aerosmith still tours, Cheap Trick still tours, Brian "fuckin" Adams still tours, etc.  Maybe all their shows won't have thousands of people that attend, but they will tour because Axl, just like most musicians and artists, LOVES TO PLAY LIVE.

Those of you who think GNR won't actually tour probably have never performed anything of any sort before in your lives.  And don't take that as a insult, it just meens that you don't understand how special it is to get out their infront of a lot of people and express yourself.  It 's rather stimulating.
