I think Judas Priest's Saints in Hell is a perfect example of an excellent song without a solo, despite the unbelievable talent of the guitarists. What are some other songs where the guitarists hold back, yet the song is better without a solo?

A french song called "Rockcollection" by Laurent Voulsy, the 17 minutes+ Live Version, absolutely wonderfull. One of the best song I've ever heard. Also another french song called "Amsterdam" from Jacques Brel.

A lot of the Beatles' songs had no solos in em, and they're a prime example of classic songs!
