Gimme some lovin' - Thunder
Hard to handle - Black crows

Thunderstruck - Ac/Dc
Every rose has its thorn - Poison
Lets fuck - Murderdolls
Its time to party - Andrew w k

You should be slapped with a wet fish for suggesting that GN'R cover a poison song. confused

Queen: Bohemian Rhapsody
The Rolling Stones: Jumpin' Jack Flash
Alice Cooper: Only Women Bleed
The Rolling Stones: Wild Horses
Aerosmith: Train Kept A Rollin' (even though this isn't an original Aerosmith song)
Queen: Tie Your Mother Down
Led Zeppelin: Stairway to Heaven (they played parts of this acoustically in '93)
The Eagles: Hotel California
The Rolling Stones: Dead Flowers (studio, the one on Gilby's record is not very good)
AC/DC: Whole Lotta Rosie (studio, the live version by Gn'r is awesome)
Pink Floyd: Mother (whole version)
Black Sabbath: It's Alright (studio version with Axl on piano, like on Live Era)
Todd Rundgren: Dust in the Wind (studio with Axl on piano)
Not that the covers on TSI are bad, and I would actually take many of the covers on TSI over some of these, but these would be some good covers.

I'd like them to do cover versions that would really surprise me like when Metallica covered the Bob Seger song.

$1,000 Wedding by  Gram Parsons
Man Of The World by Fleetwood Mac
Truckin' by The Grateful Dead
In The Ghetto by Elvis
Mother by Pink Floyd
Run Through The Jungle by CCR

Cover versions of Led Zeppelin songs would be cool but it would hardly be a stretch for Axl to sound like Robert Plant.

Sabba Cadabra (Sabbath)
Dream On (AeroSmith)
Rock n' Roll (Zepplin)
Paint it Black (Stones) <----- This would sound great with Izzy's voice
Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen)
I Cant Get No Satisfaction (The Stones again)
My Generation (The Who)
Break On Through (The Doors)
Walk This Way (The Original) (Aerosmith)
Poison (Alice Cooper)
Smoke On The Water (Deep Purple)
Holiday In The Sun (Sex Pistols)
All Of my love (Zepplin)

Thats pretty much all I could think of for now, but I tried to put a little bit of everything.  peace

1. No More No More, Aerosmith
2. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Black Sabbath
3. Skulls, Misfits
4. Whole Lotta Rosie, AC/DC
5. Fighting My Way Back, Thin Lizzy
6. Killed By Death, Motorhead
7. Immigrant Song, Led Zeppelin
8. Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen
9. Helter Skelter, Beatles
10. We're A Happy Family, Ramones
11. Gimme Back My Bullets, Lynyrd Skynyrd
12. Poison, Alice Cooper

There's a hundred others, but I think this tracklisting has a bit more variety than that of TSI.  Also this incorporates more of GN'R's classic rock influences.  I think they sound better covering classic rock songs than the do punk ones.

Sorry Rob, but U2 did the best version of Helter Skelter, and Axl probably knows he couldn't top it. If Axl did a beatles cover, it should be a song that no one else has tried to cover, like "Get Back". Your other song choices are pretty good. I'd like to see Axl try the Elastica song "Line Up". That song has a GNR vibe going. If I had never heard that song, and just seen the lyrics to it, I would think it was something written by Axl and Izzy. Something else Axl could try is "Wishing Well" by Terence Trent D'arby. Now THAT would be interesting!

I've never heard U2's version of Helter Skelter.  I've heard Aerosmith's and Motley Crue's and I think they're both very good.  However, I'm sure Guns could top U2's if they tried.  The reason I went with Helter Skelter is because its a heavier song that would fit Guns style more.  But yeah, it probably would be cooler to hear them do a song no one else has covered yet.

Rob, you've never heard U2 sing Helter Skelter? DAMN, you've got to check it out! Its on Rattle and Hum. Its Live but extremely intense. no one could possibly do that song any better. Another song I'd like to hear Axl do is "My My Hey Hey" by Neil Young. That song makes me cry. I can't even imagine the impact od Axl singing it.

Yes, they changed the title but kept the lyrics the same.
