Anyone know what the song The Dance by Garth Brooks means?....I kinda know but I need it explained

It's about taking chances in life and having no regrets. A lot of people will never try something, because they're afraid of losing. So they try to save themselves the pain, but in the end they miss out on great things. And it can be applied to anything, like relationships, career, etc... It goes back to that old saying, "It's the quality of your years that count, rather than the quantity."
