TOP POP CATALOG you moron.....2 different charts. The album is doing quite well.
Thanks r tard.
I KNOW they're two different charts. ?Hence the reason I mentioned that it was NOT on the Top 100. ?Sorry it was so confusing for you.
So if it's not on the Top 100, clearly it's not doing THAT well is it? ?Or are you suggesting that it IS selling well but there is some sort of conspiracy that means that Billboard don't list it on the Top 100? ?
If anyone actually knows what they're talking about, feel free to speak up. ? Otherwise just feel free to PM madagas or whatever his name was and talk about the vegetables they're serving in the institution. ?

Excepting holiday albums, once an album is two-years-old AND has fallen below the 100 position on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, it is re-charted on the Billboard Top Pop Catalog chart.? It is more than likely out-selling current albums on the bottom half of the Top 200.?

Yeah, I was gonna post that. So GH is #3 on the POP catalogue and 90th overall.
Good deal boys and girls.

What dose Libertad got to do with this topic? Guns is a classic band and a greatest hits cd with one of the biggest bands in the world is not as hard to sell as Libertad.

OMG.
All my post said was:"Not in the top 100 anymore".
It was not a negative statement, it's a fact.
The link Christos posted says it's number 3 on the pop charts. If it's not on the Top 100 then that means that the Pop Charts" are probably not worth a huge amount.
But I was thinking that perhaps someone who has some industry knowledge can fill us in on the details.
Easy on the delete button there guys!
Ok, I have no idea what you're talking about, it was probably just a coincidence.
Last night I was checking out the billboard charts, I saw this and I posted it.
Nothing to do with one of your posts...
BTW, you and madagas got a neg karma for calling eachother names.

"It's not doing that well".
You're talking about an compilation album that came out and was promoted over three years ago. What the hell did you expect?
It's still selling more copies in a week then many albums that were released a few weeks ago.

I'm not knocking it.? I heard it STILL sold more than Libertad a week or two ago (I don't know the numbers), I just think the the original post could have done with more context.? That was my point.? The Madagas wades in with his needless insults (and I stand by what I said, clearly it's fact as demonstrated) and as usual, everyone over reacts.?
EDIT: I see Crazyman already posted the numbers.

and did you not see the two posts before christos?

I hate to pull up a thread this old but GH is # 1 on the Billboard pop catalogue. What does the pop catalogue mean.
This torquid post is just 2 post ahead of the christos one that updated on that chart and between the two posts someone explained what the pop catalogue chart was.
No one said GH was topping the general chart.
some people are just over defensive.

The reason why I thought it was funny was because Greatest Hits has been out since early 2004 and yet 3 and a half years later it's sold/selling (I don't have any info about past sales for GH, other than the pop catalogue) more than a CD released by a 'supergroup' a month or two ago.
It was just an odd comment, I'm a fan of everyone associated here. I've contributed to both bands' sales

Your insult was as needless as his was.
That's why you both got a neg karma.
I thought I was talking to adults so I deleted this part of my post when I let you both know about the neg karma: "And please don't give me the
HE STARTED FIRST
bullshit...".
I really had it written but I decided to delete it. I guess I was wrong.

I don't know why you're bringing it back up to be honest. He insulted me needlessly, I insulted him back. There WAS no "he started it first", or not from me. I didn't ask to have my karma back. I really don't care to be honest.

Does anyone know how GH affected the sales of the other albums (AFD and UYI)?

I am sure it took a chunk out of UYI but I think AFD still sells about 3000 or so a week. The chart only goes to 25 unless you subscribe to Billboard then you can see the top 100. I imagine AFD is in the top 100 pop catalog sales.
