Looks like Richard and Tommy are getting along just fine.  Why can't Axl come out with them and play a few shows?  It makes me think, does he really like performing?
Who knows when GN'R will hit the road again.  Hopefully Fortus is right about CD being finished, my god it's about time.

Maybe Axl is busy with other things.

If Axl would come out with them and play a few shows, the GNR fans wouldn't be there to see Tommy's performance...  Roll Eyes

I saw Tommy play last night and he put on a great
show! It was loose, informal and kind of impromptu; he
was in a great mood and had a lot of fun. He mentioned
at one point that he just loved playing for people and
wasn?t really into it to sell his records since most
of the others had failed.  After hearing the album, I
was pretty impressed with his singing and he can sing
pretty well live also.  Also, I thought he was a
pretty good guitar player, playing both acoustic and
electric.  He started off with a couple songs from his
new album solo and then later played a set with his
good friend Dave on pedal steel which really filled
out the sound.  Since it was a really small venue
(Hotel Caf?), there couldn?t be too many people up on
stage.  He also played a Big Star cover and a few
others I didn?t recognize.  He closed with a couple of
Perfect songs and then encored with a couple from an
old album of his.
Here are some of the songs he did (I didn?t know the
names of most of them)

Not a moment too soon
World without a view (with steel)
Someday
Seven Days a Week (Perfect)

If he comes near you its definitely worth checking
out! I met him briefly after the show and he was
pretty cool but swamped with his friends wanting to
talk to him, so I didn?t really get to say a whole lot
unfortunately.
