I had a great time at the LA show. The Hotel Cafe is a tiny place, but all the better to see Tommy up close.? He was very cool and friendly, cracking jokes after every song.? He played about 7 songs from VGH including Without a View which I really like, and then some songs from his other bands.

He said that he & Dave would be touring again in January...in the Blue States.? Grin

There were other artists performing as well, and they all had good things to say about Tommy.

Random, did he say anything about Axl? Did you talk to him? did you ask him about Chinese Democracy? C'mon give us some info on Guns N' Roses...

Jut kidding man, glad you enjoyed the show.? Smiley

Oh, I have a serious question though, did the crowd know anything regarding his involvement with GNR? Just curious...

Tommy didnt say anything about it, but since everyone in the crowd was a big fan of the Replacements,  I would think that most of them are aware of Tommy's current projects.

Yippeeee - Plenty of opportunities for HTGTH members to badger him about CD! Unless of course something happens between now and then!

I doubt he would have scheduled those shows if he really thought he was going to be needed for anything before at least late February or March, regardless of how on-call he claims to be if the band calls. I would have to believe he cleared this tour with his employer to make sure it wouldn't conflict with his primary job responsibilities.

Touring plans and rehearsing aside I wander whether Tommy would tour if the album was being released while he is away? Will Axl go ahead and release the album without the other members at his side or will they all be wanted for photo shoots and press releases?

He is one brave man if he doesn't have at least some positive, informative news to take on tour with him. I'm not talking us lot here, I'm meaning the press....

i'm sure that they already did some photo shots if anything is planned during his tour.

He's got a lot of fuckin nerve showing his face in Philly after fucking them over & not even a hint of an apology or explanation. I think it would be cool for all Philly area people to show up & heckle & boo between songs to let him know? that shit don't fly, & if he had a shred of decency, he would take that opportunity to AT LEAST apologize.

Hey Tommy, Axl must pay you pretty well, I hope it's enough to make losing your credability & self respect worth it.

And before everyone starts chirping in about how it wasn't Tommy, it was Axl, blah, blah, blah....., Stinson supposedly is in GnR; GnR fucked over their loyal fans that night, ergo, Stinson fucked over the fans that night.

Show some class and apologize. Or won't Axl let you?

Thanks for the laugh.  ok

I'm sure the majority of the crowd doesn't care about what happened two years ago.

Yeah, I would even venture to say most of the people who attended the show weren't there due to his involvement with GN'R, so they couldn't give two shits about the "Philly incident".

Doesn't change the fact he's got no class if he doesn't apologize.

well, as much as i think that tommy is a great guy, now it's too late for that. they whole band should have apologized for that 2 years ago.
