As someone pointed out earlier, it has been one year since we last heard anything from the GNR camp. Before that we havent heard anything since December 2002.

Did we all really think that nearly three years after Axl told us the artwork is done, the song sequence is complete and we are getting 18tracks with 10bounus tracks we would still be here without a single new song?

I know that we arent "technically" waiting and we are living our lives regardless of this release..but dont you think this is really sad? Jack White has recorded three albums in the past year...Led Zeppelin recorded six albums in six years and one of them was a double LP.

I am not trying to be a naysayer..but when Axl says..he gets misty eyed over how good the record is, it makes you wonder how much of a headcase this guy really is.

I thought we'd hear something in 2003 since it seemed almost done in 2002.

No I didn't think we'd have to wait three years, but from now on I'm not going to belive what Axl or anyone else says regarding the release of CD untill I'm holding the damn record in my hand

It's not really so much frustration, more of just concern, or critical thinking about the record.

I feel the same too, If Merck goes Chinese Democracy comes out July 12th 2005, I too wont believe it till its in my hand.

I knew of Axl being influenced by Queen and Zep but I was unaware of the Brian Wilson influence upon him.  12 years down and only 23 more to go for a new album.  I can't wait to go to the music store with my grandchildren to pick up Chinese Democracy in 2028.  Yeah, good times!!
