Hey, I'm back after a short vacation. I just wanted to share with you a certain expirence I had that I didn't really like that much.

I was talking to a friend of mine and I had been around him before but I didn't know where his views lie. Basically, we talked for a long time last Saturday Morning about a variety of Political and Religious issues.

The following is the crazy stuff that he said

(Take in mind, he had no facts to prove these so-called facts other than what I mention in the text below.):

-He says that he doesn't believe there is such a thing known as AIDS. He believes it is just an anti-body and that it was grown in a lab. He also says that he knew 2 friends of his that had AIDS and they didn't do nothing about it and they were fine.

-He believes the american politics is corrupt so John Kerry is just as evil as George W. Bush. But of course, George W. Bush is the pure face of evil, itself. He believes that the corruption began a long time ago say like around the 1940's or so.

-He believes that the people in Africa aren't suffering from AIDS but are being poisoned by the U.S. He claims that we are doing this because we want to colonize Africa.

-He also believes that you know when a plane flies by and you see that cloudy stuff come out. Well, he tried to convince me that that stuff makes you sick because if American's aren't getting sick, then the Drug Industry could not exist.

-He believes that 9-11 Happened but he doesn't believe the terrorists really did it.

-Finally, he believes that Mad Cow Disease is not real. He believes that when the whole Mad Cow Disease thing came up, it was really America poisoning Canada's cows so people could only eat American Meat, basically.
---

Yeah, I was just a little freaked out about this guy. Everything listed here I don't believe as truth but has anybody else heard any of this before?

I don't know where you're friend got his ideas from because ive never heard of any of them before, and although all of this theories could be wrong there are definately things that go on that we don't know about, and definate cover-ups.  The media here in the UK seem to get hold of so many stories and many celebrities and people in power are exposed for wrong doings but not everybody gets caught out there are many people out their with secrets.  There will be celebrities who are gay, padoephiles, people killed because they know too much and we will never find out and people don't question what they don't know about.  People these days get into politics for the power, plain and simple and it's all about how they can convince the people of the world they are going to give them what they want, it's a popularity contest...but how many carry through their promises.  They all aim for the lower classes to, since there are more of them and it's all about getting the most votes, but once they have the power it's about themselves and not the people and the only times they do stuff in the interest of the people or stuff that appears to be in the interest of the people is when they want to stay in power.  At the same time there are a lot of behind the scenes who have power George W. Bush isn't the No.1 power in the US he is merely the 'front-man' all Presidents are controlled by people away from the public-eye.

HAHAHA! No, it wasn't Rush Limbaugh.

But, when he first told me all this stuff, I was really tired, I had like 2 hours of sleep so what he was saying didn't really hit that deep. But, as time passed, it really started to bother me.

The sad thing is that your friend is not the only one that believes such things.  I read toned down stuff like that all of the time on this board.

Yes, I am from and live in Utah.

So do I.? I guess it really is a small world after all.?

That said, while I'm fully aware of Doppelganger's extreme dislike for our fair state and it's residents, even he should know that your friend (an his ideas) are far from the norm here.

Actually I love Utah, I still own a home there.

Buying another one out there in about 18 months.

Its the closed minded idiots I can't stand.

Alas, little cottonwood canyon trumps the morons, so I will eventually move back and enjoy Utah's paradise.

The people are getting a bit wise out there however, they just protested and rejected Bush's failing "no child left behind bill". Proving that there is hope for the Dim LDS population yet.

*******

I remember a guy getting arrested (he was a lawyer if I remember right) at the Zions mall for wearing a peace t-shirt when the war broke out. Said he was "disrupting the peace".  Roll Eyes That is the kind of mindset that is in Utah. Also the hypocritical (more up your alley) liquor laws that pour weak drinks until......you pay the state fee (they like to call it a "member fee") thus allowing the patron to drink to his/her hearts content. As long as the state gets it money then it ain't a sin no more. Good old Utah....Lotta of small minds out there, your posts are proof of that. Grin

Alright.  When you've read as much into conspiracy theory as I have, you will have heard all of these and then some.

Starting from, as they say, the top and moving down...

AIDS:  Most certainly exists, however anything beyond that is all up to speculation.  Maybe it started in monkeys in Africa.  Maybe it was created and accidentally released from Fort Detrick.  Maybe there are multiple strains.  Maybe it's caused by HIV, maybe they're two separate diseases.  It's a virus we're still learning a lot about and no one can pinpoint for certain much about it.

Political corrpution:  No shit.  It's been going on for longer than the 1940's.  "Claim everything, concede nothing, and if defeated, allege fraud." -- Tammany Hall maxim.

Africa being poisoned in order to colonize: Haven't heard this one until now.

Cloudy stuff from planes:  Chem trails!  This is one of the biggest ones in conspiracy theorist readings.  If I point out the Tuskeegee Syphilis Study and the Chicago Malaria Study, as well as possible experiments on Haitian prisoners in Miami in 1981 and 300,000 Cubans mysteriously being stricken with dengue hemorrhagic fever in 1981 (all coincidences, of course *coughbullshitcough*), it makes it seem quite plausible.

9-11:  Another spot with many theories.  I know if I discuss my theories on what happened, I'll be labelled as a nutjob too, so all I'm going to say is that there are too many open ends to say it's undeniable that terrorists entered the country, took flying lessons, and managed to simultaneously hijack 4 planes and fly 3 of them into important US landmarks all at the total surprise of the US government, military, and intelligence as a whole.  I'm sorry, but I don't buy it.

Mad Cow Disease:  Also undeniably real.  I'd be surprised if it isn't in the US cattle too on a small basis.

Go ahead, label me a nutjob.  Call me paranoid.  But at least we paranoid nutjobs don't just accept everything as fact just because it's told by someone higher up than us.

Wow dude that is a lot!!!

Maybe start a thread on just one and lets talk about that. I'm long winded, don't get me wrong, but I can't address all those.

I'll take one....AIDS, I don't believe it exists in the way we think it does.( I had a long thread about this some time ago.) I think HIV is a harmless retrovirus and does not kill us, and while AIDS may very well be a breakdown of the immune system, it is not brought on my HIV. But rather a combination of AIDS drugs, recreational drugs, poor diet/nutrition/water supply (see: africa).

Peter Duesberg has written articles on this for YEARS and finally it is gaining acceptance around the world. There are now a large coalition of doctors and scientists (http://www.virusmyth.net/aids/perthgroup/ ) who believe his theory to be correct. His book is AMAZING, LIFE CHANGING masterpiece that will be looked back upon as such. "Inventing the AIDS Virus."

My life experiences with HIV friends and people who have died of "AIDS" match his hypothesis 100%.

I remember a talkshow once (must have been a couple of years ago, can't remember which show exactly..can check though) Where a stock farmer talked about the Mad Cow disease that was being detected in Europe and such...and he said that they had the similar symptoms years before we had them...only it was kept silent by health departments since cow meat is number 1 of meat consumption in the US..and they where affraid for a economical disaster if it ever came out.
