well. with all the great minds on this board i will seek some advices.
here is the story.
i am right now in a internship with the (huge) car french company Renault. This is a internship for the end of my master, and its about information management and strategy. The internship does not suck. it's kinda interesting, altho i am really just doing what i learn at school this year.
- this internship started feb. 28th and has to go to sept. the 5th. (6 months)
Now, this morning, i received a call from Ubi Soft (prince of persia, splinter cell ...) and they want me. For a REALLY , i mean REALLY, interesting intership.
1 - I will be in charge of following all the current game design and video games project in dev. and see how they go, if they match with UBISOFT strategy; I have to analyse all the progress and make comments about the design to the teams.
2 - I will be in charge of analysing the trends and market to make report about the future of vidoe games and what strategy UBI should choose. (business inteligence, thats one of my class this year, so its cool)
3 - from time to time, i will participate in real game design steps.
this is what i've always wanted to do. and i wont think twice before leaving my current internship to go there.
now there are some problems.
1st) leaving my intership is bad for the reputation of my school (which is stupid, cause sciences po already has the BEST reputation)
2nd) i have to make both parties : my school and the company to be cool about it, and accept that i wanna leave.
3rd) it will add 1 month before i finish my internship for my master.
voil?.
dilemma. but not really.
i think i am at a point of my life, where every choice matters and i can't pass by an occasion like that ... so i think i will say "fuck you " renault.
and go do a job i love
